See, I bloody love Doctor Who and I can forgive it many missteps over the seasons.
But when you watch such amazing, heart-rending episodes such as Silence In The Library, When A Good Man Goes To War and The Doctors Wife and compare them to the current run, there is definitely something missing. I remember being the total feeling of swept away by these at the time and watching them back, even when you know what is coming, it's not diminished. This years Special on the other hand was just forgettable.
I think Jodie can do great things and I think she has a real understanding of what makes the Doctor but we need to get some people that love it and *get* it back in the background too. Captain Jack being back is a good start, now please get back some decent writers 😫😫😫
