before my third trimester I thought the "pregnant people nesting" thing was sort of a myth? like oh sure you want to get ready for baby or whatever and this is a cute way to talk about it, okay.

but I'm at almost 34 weeks and the nesting urge that has swept over me is one of the most sustained, irrational compulsions that has ever swept over me. like my brain hasn't actually brrr'd this hard since I found phantom of the opera in ninth grade. I cleaned my car for like nine hours yesterday. it wasn't even *that* dirty. my current to-do spreadsheet has nine different colors on it. I'm leading a push to "get the house ready" that frankly puts the worst of my bridezilla moments to shame. (I believe I was always a loving and polite bridezilla, but the goals and expectations were perhaps....lofty)

anyway. nowadays chez larkthorne is one big comedy routine about omega nesting
