Venom Non-Spoiler Review
The movie was fantastic. It definitely is the sort of movie that would’ve done better during the Fantastic Four era (the original, not the shitty remake). The Eddie/Venom dynamic is great.
The movie is a bit rushed though. The first third or so sets up Eddie nicely, his situation, a mysterious Noodle Incident, etc. But the moment Eddie gets Venom the movie just takes off at a dead-run and doesn’t stop until it’s credit scene.
Also, people need to stop making a fuss about the ‘lady wearing Venom making out with Eddie’ as if that was a legitimate travesty. It’s not. It wasn’t even that bad. In fact the entire scene is fucking hilarious, stop trying to claim Sony somehow “Straight-Washed”. They didn’t.
Don’t go to the movie if you’re expecting another Infinity War or Age of Ultron. You won’t get that kind of movie. See it because it’s basically a really bizarre rom-com also trying to be a superhero film in the same breath.
