Re: The Defenders trailer. Matt Murdock entering the interrogation room and instantly instructing Jessica Jones to “stop talking” is great because it points out the fallacy of the term “lawyered up” and how police and police TV shows often insist that wanting a nagging, uptight defense lawyer (or any legal representation, for that matter) instantly makes you guilty on the spot.
Because Matt spots rights away what they’re doing to her, (Getting a confession out of a lone nervous woman with a bit of a big mouth.)
So he turns into the nagging, uptight defense lawyer we see on all the usual police TV shows and that the viewer is expected to dislike.
Oddly brilliant.
KNIVES OUT - Making a Murder (2020)
Watching Making a murderer on Netflix I'm ready to rip my fucking hair out. These dudes are guilty as fucking sin. These cops are fucking key stone cops and don't get me started on a the lawyers.
Also this fiction that the Avery's are poor? They're planning on buying a fucking house when he's out? They own tons and tons of land. Do you and yours own a fuck ton of land? No, then these folks are richer than you they're just uglier and stupider. So they invoke pity.
This is why some of y'all like shows with laugh tracks so media can tell you what to think with fucking music cues.
The fact that this woman was BRUTALLY raped and beaten and murdered and her poor family has to fucking see her murders gaining fucking support. It's fucking ghoulish and sickening.
