Me: ...how the hell did I manage to sew this button on upside down?

Mum: How did the needle on your Featherweight get gummed up?

Me: We tried to anchor sticky backed velcro with it because the velcro adhesive never works, remember? Back in July?

Mum: Oh yeah. Well, it seems to have gummed up the entire machine, so it’ll need servicing. Good thing we have my Featherweight!

Me: Seriously. They put an inner pocket behind this button?

Mum: Damn. Not only have I never used my Featherweight, but it hasn’t been serviced since I bought it.

Me: Not sewing?

Mum: Not without a good servicing first. And of course I don’t have instructions for my Viking. Three sewing machines and we can’t make a button hole! How will sewing the buttons over snaps do for the waistcoat for now?

Me: I’ll take it.

Mum: You don’t have enough small buttons for the waistcoat and the jacket sleeves.

Me: *having gained a whole new appreciation for valets and their ability to sew on buttons properly* I’ll order more. I don’t want to touch the sleeves right now anyway. Damn buttons.

taking the very little amount of motivation i have right now to start chapter four (im going to have to push the things i wanted to occur in chapter four to happen in chapter five unless i really stretch the chapter out.)

Good progress with my meds, the side effects are kind of under control finally and I have gotten a few more of my old works edited free of typos and tags updated 😅

Hoping to get more of my wips done today, I have my mushroom story part 8 halfway done so that should be finished in a week or so at the current rate of progress. I'm still adjusting to the new anxiety meds lol but it is helping me get out of my funk!

Woot woot! I'm excited to be back writing so hopefully I can post soon :)
