Gortash Week Day 4 -- Sacred/Blasphemous
Hello and welcome to Emi making stuff <3 (very little of them actually succeed)
Investing in my bracelet making bs, so I had to make some inspired off of my favs
Pookies (my good friend made the Ludwig one, she has no idea who they are 🤫)
And Lemsss (this one turned out the best imo)
I have no idea what to post so just take this, bye bye
The thing about handspinning is that it's an expensive and niche hobby that is not marketable. There's a lot of skill and knowledge that goes into it, but we will never earn money doing this. We're all just doing it because we like it, and because of the fundamental human urge to make stuff. There's also something about the sound of a spinning wheel that feels really satisfying, like we're remembering all the years our ancestors spent making stuff, too, and I just think that is very cool and very human of us. (This is a handspinning blog now)
I made a thing!!! It's a liquid glitter keychain. Lol I may have gone a little nuts making some merch a couple weeks ago... I will share the haul when it comes in..I made some Bonkers merch guys I'm excited I can't wait x33333
I'm so excited I'm bursting at the seams and I just need to get it out
A week ago, I made a Reddit post about some paintings I made while recovering from post concussion syndrome. I really wanted to play Skyrim but couldn't, so I ended up painting the beginning of my character's journey across Skyrim!
Here's the paintings:
The Reddit post kind of popped off, and people were SO NICE!!!
It encouraged me to make the video!
I feel so excited! But also, like I'm going to cry and throw up lol
I know I should temper my expectations to have none lol. It felt like something "clicked" and it was like, "THIS. This is what I want to do." I just wanted to share lol
Also, here's the video
And a picture of the the thumbnail that I'm a little too proud of lol
Okay, shameless self-promotion over lolol
here's something i picked up along the way that i often think about:
You can just! Write stuff! You can just! Draw things! It does not have to be carefully optimized to present the purest distillation of an idea! You can just make the thing! And then make it again and again and again!
