This tool Tuesday goes out to the newest member of the team - the Makita track saw. I’ve been eyeballing this thing for at least a year or so but it has always been more of a “want” than a “need” in my hobbyist wood shop. I’ve been ripping so much plywood lately though that I finally talked myself into it. This saw definitely lives up to the hype. Super fast setup and cuts like butter! I show a couple of user errors I made at the end of the video. I lifted it ever so slightly at the end of the cut out of pure habit doing it with my circular saw and that is a major no no. Got a little squirrelly on me. Also chose to plunge the blade first (inexplicably) on one cut before turning on the blade and that was an even bigger no no! 😳 Thanks again to @coffeycustombuilds for the information on this saw BEFORE I purchased. However, I immediately rescind my thanks when he said he was just kidding AFTER the purchase! 😳😬 . . . . . #tracksaw #makitatracksaw #makitapowertools #tooltuesday (at Long Beach, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CCV84b2j9bR/?igshid=j8ksinhdu82
