It's from the tints in the mod; sometimes I'll tweak the ones that are way too unrealistic colour-wise but I haven't bothered with the clans outside of Hymnclan LOLOL
I assume the purple cats ur talking about are Prawnember and Paledapple (wildly inaccurate name)

I just had to share what happened in my Makoclan clangen file (I play each other clan up to 50 moons to fill out the clans) because this is wild. I play Sel's Mega Merge and HAVE NOT edited the kit litter sizes for context.
My guy Glacier is a healer and yet he's singlehandedly populating this damn clan!!!!
