I just wanted to say Happy Holidays to you and your family Andy. You've been one of my best friends here on this site and also an amazing RP partner. Thanks for always being there and just know I'm here for you if you need someone to talk to as well. I know you're feeling a bit down, but I made this for you and hope it will cheer you up. I know you like the holding hands thing with them. I'll see you when you get back.

Everything had happened so fast. She had turned to run -- tried to protect her own life as soon as he announced that the weapon had been activated.

         "Guys, she must have our location! She's pointing that weapon right              at us!"                   "Everyone out, now. Now!"

Wreckage fell around her as she narrowly escaped the spirit vines' destructive power. She pushed boards off her -- ow! Something definitely landed on her hip. She winced as she moved, pushing herself to stand. She caught sight of Tenzin helping Suyin and the twins. Where was Baatar-- Where was Mako?

"Mako?" Korra called desperately, pushing herself to move closer to the edge of the building, where the most rubble was lying. "Mako!" Desperation was prominent in her voice -- he wasn't gone. 

She saw movement from the corner of her eye, and Korra immediately turned towards it, momentarily relieved. She found him. 

"Don't move, let me," she told him, diligently starting to take debris from on top of him.

When he pulled apart he drank in the sight of her and her flushed cheeks. He shouldn’t have done that but he really wanted to, he knows they are not more than friends but he let his impulses lead him this time. “…you kissed me back”

She could still feel the intensity between them, as his gaze lingered on her with want. Korra could still feel her heart beating fast from their heated kiss. She heard him finally speak after some time. making her blue eyes widened, smirking at him. "I...did. It was...a natural response. Uh,...you surprised me thats all."

"Hey...I really like your haircut" he hesitates for a moment but then reaches his hand and tucks the loose strands behind her ear "It suits you very well"

"Oh," Korra said, watching as Mako reached for a stray strand of her hair, his hand tucking it behind her ear. It never seemed to stayed back since she cut it.

"Thanks," Korra replied, feeling her cheeks flush.

It's the eternal struggle of the fangirl. All the best fics either get forgotten or dropped by the authors. And yet we persevere and hope that one day it will be updated.
