26. Do you act out your daydreams? Do you speak to/through your paras out loud?

- That’s the way i usually daydream :D #acting !! When i speak, though, it’s either a whispering thing or a very muted and vague vocal blocking of whatever words are being said. Unless i’ve got the house to myself, then it’s Full Volume Full Conversations lol

- lol last semester my roommate would walk in on me alone with all the lights off, sitting on a chair or the floor, daydreaming. A few times. She knows about my daydreaming though, so it didn’t turn out in disaster lol

-… mine are pretty much always horrendously violent and mean… so here’s a fun exchange between Jian and Chela instead!

Chela: “Why do you like this place when it’s American bullshit ‘Chinese’ food?”Jian: “I mean, it’s not good. But you eat McDonald’s, don’t you? 40. Do you do research for your daydreams? How much? How often? How deep?

- Sometimes i research about injuries and the right (or wrong!) way to treat them. With Jian, I had to do a little research on youth shelters and their policies. With Tanner, I needed to know what broken ribs feel like and how long they take to heal.(ok but sometimes i’ll look up whether or not a character would survive what i’ve just done to them. and sometimes the answer is no. but i ignore that and make them live anyway.)

Are there any paras you want to develop more than they are rn?

I’d like to develop Melosia, Mari, and Cam more in particular.

With Melosia, she has no contact with anyone in the main squad besides Chela & Andrea, so it’s kinda hard to know what’s going on with her. I just don’t have any social connections with her to develop. :(

With Mari.. She’s from a story I started in middle school, and she’s always been a little bit of a vague thing. I don’t even know the name of her twin brother she’s trying to find!!

With Cam, he’s kind of a newly discovered side character and I haven’t really gotten to thinking about him much. He’s only relevant in Jian’s early teenage years, and I’ve been past that for a long time.

If i hate one of my paras, it’s because they’ve gone past the fun interesting antagonist and turned into something that makes me uncomfortable/angry to think about irl.

some fun examples!

-Todd! He, a 20-year-old college student, took 14-year-old Jian’s virginity while he was drunk and then manipulated him into a shitty abusive relationship where Todd obviously had all the power. Luckily, Jian got out of it with help from Todd’s former friends who cut him off for being terrible.

-Kev! Another 20/21-year-old dude preying on our wonderful boy Jian! This time Jian is 15/16 and Kev sort of traded room & board for a sexual (often violent and explicitly non-consensual) relationship. Jian only got out of this one when neighbors called the police during a particularly violent fight and Kev was arrested for drug-related stuff.

-The guy who killed Morgo! I don’t even know this guy’s name, but he killed Morgo, so that’s enough. And he only did it because he didn’t want to deal with keeping both Morgo and Mirror together, so he just killed the one that was causing him the most trouble. Complete disregard for life, not even seeing Morgo and Mirror as anything more than things he could turn a profit off of.
