Ok now Malachi....
Look Amerie being biphobic about his relationship with Rowan was fucked.
But that is the only place she was wrong.
He spent the entire season making her seem like she was a selfish brat when all she was trying to do EVERY. SINGLE. FUCKING. TIME.
was communicate with him.
Harper was right to snap at him. And I don't like how the show paints it like she's overreacting or being cruel.
Like, no, you've toyed with my best friend's emotions for 2 years, and now she's in a seemingly stable relationship, ofc I'm going to tell her to stay away from you.
And yes, the moments between him and Amerie while she was having an abortion were sweet, but Harper was still valid in not trusting him.
I do like his feelings of isolation and imposter syndrome, though, and the way they tie into his journey unpacking his bisexuality because even his community within SLTs was based on someone else's false impression of him.
But other than that, his story was pretty decent.
We love a good hot dog or taco crisis.

She should've confessed to the Map
Oh, but that was last season; no one even cared this season
Missy and Ant both still hate Amerie for it, and because she's still taking sole blame, people are more quick to jump on her for the slightest screw up. Genuinenly Amerie should be way more psychologically fucked than she is. And Harper just...let's her endure all of that without confessing.
I enjoyed the scenes of them being close, and I love the representation of close and intimate girl friendships without any queer-baiting, but Harper did NOT put in the work for them to be friends again.
But she could also confess in Season 3, so we'll see.
Other than that, and maybe something expanding on her relationship with her Dad, I actually really liked her growth and how they handled her sexual assault this season. And the lasting trauam it gave her even if she wasn't touched, because SO MANY PEOPLE (glares at doordash situation) have this rigid one track idea about what sexual assault and harrassment is, so the fact that we got to see the toll it took on her and the cold nature of the trials AND her telling Ca$h not to make her feel bad for him and to stop apologizing to her was great.
