Crazy Carnevil
"Five more pieces to go. Care to try again? Or would you rather stay here with me?"
You laughed awkwardly and walked towards the portal. "I'll uh...go through the portal."
You quickly walked into the portal and saw a monkey staring at you in the middle of the hallway.
"Malak left a monster to guard the entrance. Reeks of desperation, don't you think?" Bierce said.
"I guess?"
"You'll just have to scare it off. Stare into it's eyes and convince it that you're the bigger monster."
"Trust me, it works. Just ask my late husband." She giggled.
"Come back to the ring alter."
You left the portal and walked back to the alter.
You put your hand on it once more and felt a burst of energy flow through you.
"To activate the ability, just stomp your right foot on the ground."
You nodded and walked through the portal again.
You saw the monkey and approached it slowly.
Then you raised your right foot and stomped it down.
You felt the ground around your shake, as if a wave was going through the floor.
Then the Monkey lowered it's head and seemed to be stunned.
"Sweet!" You said to yourself.
After walking through the rest of the hallway and into the portal, you found yourself in a circus.
You looked around confused, until you started to recognize where you were.
Dread creeped up your back and you felt your heart drop.
You knew where you were.
"Ahh, the circus." Bierce started. "Those were pretty popular in my day."
"Such talent and showman ship. As a girl, the performers never failed to fill me with wonder." She said as a carousel turned on.
She continued to talk as you quietly walked around, looking for souls shards.
"Watching them, I wanted to become a star, too..."
Then she scowled. "Now children just...what? Sit around and watch others play video games?"
After walking in silence, Bierce spoke up again.
"I can feel your mind is heavy with regret in this place. I wonder why." Bierce said.
You didn't respond to her.
You noticed that as you walked around, a clown car would honk it's horn every time it saw you before speeding away.
Once you made it to the big top, you walked inside and saw a nearly empty circus tent.
It looked way too familiar.
All the seats were filled with cardboard cut outs, and the only thing inside the tent was a high striker.
"Go on." Bierce said. "Live a little! Maybe it will make you feel better about this place."
You knew it wouldn't, but you wanted to play the game anyway.
You picked up the mallet and swung down as hard as you could.
"Oh wow." Bierce said. "You actually did it. I may have underestimated how little you think about the consequences of your actions."
Suddenly, the mallet and the high striker disappeared into thin air.
Then a cage appeared around you.
Right after it did, the clown car rushed out again and did donuts around your cage a few times before it stopped.
Once it stopped, several clowns ran out of the car tried reaching for you.
Afraid, and unsure of what else to do, you stomped your foot and activated the power up.
Once you did, the clowns and the clown car disappeared.
"Well done." Bierce said as the cage disappeared too.
You saw an entrance ahead that led you into an entirely different area.
"How surreal." Bierce said.
You looked around, thinking you went into another portal because there was no way a room this big could be inside a circus tent.
Floating signs were pointing to the slide in front of you, and you took a few steps forward.
You hesitated a little bit before eventually sliding down.
The slide went upside down and you somehow stayed on.
Once you finished riding the slide, you saw a soul shards in front of you.
You collected and looked around.
The area ahead looked like a colorful confusing maze.
You sighed and turned to collect more shards.
•
After collecting all the shards, you ran into a green portal which led you inside a tent with the ring alter.
Behind the ring alter was another green portal as the walls behind you moved to close off the entrance.
You walked into the portal and a roller coaster cart waiting for you.
"What the hell...?" You mumbled to yourself as you got inside.
The roller coaster started to move and you held on tight.
The doors in front of you opened to show weird color strobe walls.
Your eyes started to hurt from all the bright colors.
The roller coaster cart was lowered as you tried to shield your eyes from the bright colors.
Then, once it stopped lowering, another set of doors appeared in front of you and opened.
On the other side were these massive clowns wearing neon face paint.
Your heart stopped as you ride past them.
Thankfully, they didn't do anything except wave at you.
Then the roller coaster approached a clown head with sharp teeth chomping down every few seconds.
The teeth missed your cart and you kept riding.
More strobe walls flashed in your eyes as you kept riding.
You covered your eyes until the ride was over.
When the roller coaster stopped, you opened your eyes and saw the entrance to fun house.
You got off the roller coaster and walked inside, ready to collect more shards.
•
After nearly going insane inside the funhouse, you thankfully found the last shards and left.
You made it back to the room with the ring alter and put all shards inside.
You then grabbed the ring piece and left the circus tent all together.
Once you made it back to the carousel, you suddenly couldn't move.
Like someone had nailed your feet to the floor.
"Ah ah ah! I've got you now, mortal."
Malak poofed up in front of you and stared at him.
"Here we are, yet again. It's not going to go quite so well for you this time. I'll finish you off here and take. Your. Soul...maybe more."
Malak chuckled. "That said, seeing as you're so 'capable', let's up the ante a bit, shall we? I don't want to keep underestimating your luck."
Malak clapped his hands and four giant neon clowns appeared in a circle.
"Oh fuck..."
"Keep 'em laughing while you die, won't you?" He laughed before disappearing.
Once he disappeared, you were able to move again but all the exits were blocked off.
A hammer was now in front of you and you picked it up.
•
After figuring out what to do and defeating the giant clowns, the exits reopened and Malak appeared again.
"No! Impossible! Your suffering will be eternal! I won't let you leave with the ring piece!"
Malak turned into his phantom form and started to chase you.
But you activated your speed boost and ran away, into the portal.
You fell back into the ballroom and cheered.
"Wooo hooo!"
The eye on the door opened up as soon as you returned and growled.
"You're only delaying the inevitable, Bierce. You can't keep me out of your little pocket dimension forever. I'm coming to collect what is owed and I'm bringing your worst nightmares with me!"
Bierce rolled her eyes as Malak continued to talk. "You and the girl both shall pay, with interest."
"Give her that ring piece and I swear to you, you will regret it."
"More lies and empty threats. You expect her to trust you when you've tried to kill her at every turn?"
"It doesn't matter if she trusts my word or not. She can believe what she wants."
Then his eye looked directly at you. "Just know, that I am warning you. You may not belive it but she will not grant your wish if you give her the ring, she'll use it for her own desires and leave you alone to rot."
You gulped, and you knew that what he said would stick with you.
Then he looked back at Bierce. "Enjoy your moment, it won't last."
The eye closed and you looked back at Bierce.
"Just ignore him, love. Bring the piece here."
You put the ring piece in the alter and turned to the next portal.
"We're halfway there, love. Just four more pieces to go, don't disappoint me now."
As she said that, the next portal opened.
It looked like a paper bag with a plus on it.

MORTAL SOUL [CHAPTER FOUR]
Stranger Sewers
"Six pieces left." Bierce said. "Ready to try again?"
You nodded and walked through the portal.
Inside the hallway, a giant wall blocked your path.
"Malak's blocked the entrance. Now that's just pathetic, don't you think?"
"Uh-"
"Never fear love. There's a solution. You'll just need to rearrange your brain a bit. Come back to the ring alter."
"Alright." You sighed and walked back into the portal.
You put your hand on the alter and a jolt of electricity went through you.
"Your new ability allows you to see enemies through walls. To activate it, put your hands on the side of your face. You'll be able to move Malak's wall by doing so."
You nodded and walked back into the portal.
You stared at the wall as you put your hands on the side of your face.
Your vision blurred for a few seconds before the wall rose up.
You walked to the other end of the hallway and walked into the nightmare.
You immediately gagged and covered your nose.
You were in the Sewers.
"Ugh! The sewers?! Really?!"
"Not afraid of a little sewer water, are you?" Bierce asked as you trudged forward. "Just don't get any of it in your mouth."
You groaned as you moved forward.
Then you noticed the water was slowing you down tremendously.
So you got out of the water and walked along the sides.
"You're heard the urban legends I'm sure. All sorts of this get thrown away down here. Alligators, goldfish, duckies."
As she said duckies. Some lights lit up to your right and there was a show of oversized ducks with traffic cones on their head.
"Just like how you threw your life away."
"Okay okay, I get it. I fucked up." You groaned.
You kept walking and opened a door to keep going.
You went further and saw a hole in the water with some writing beside it.
"Watch out for the big one?"
You shrugged and opened the door ahead of you.
But as it was opening, a giant hand came out of the way and grabbed you.
You yelled out in surprise and wiggled around to get the hand of you.
Once you were free, the creature that grabbed you slinked back into the darkness letting on an evil duck sounding laugh.
You quickly ran through the door and saw some shards up ahead.
You rolled up your sleeves and began collecting the shards.
Then you saw a duck and Bierce started talking.
"They're trying to blend in. Let's see how well you pay attention to details."
You pressed your hands to the side of your face and saw the outlines of some ducks.
But the one next to you didn't have an outline.
Which lead you to believe there were fake enemies.
Now you understood what to do to survive.
•
After collecting all the shards, you ran to where Bierce said the ring alter was with several ducks behind you.
You reached out and transferred the shards for the next ring Pierce and cheered in celebration.
Then suddenly, someone teleported behind you.
You turned around and saw Malak standing by a wall.
You tried to run but Malal raised his hand and you couldn't move.
"That's far enough, mortal."
"You know, you're the first of Bierce's pets to actually cause me some trouble."
He glared at you. "I should commend you for your tenacity. Or better yet, maybe I'll just finish you off here."
"However, despite how aggravating you are. I will admit, I do like watching you run around trying to stay alive. So, instead of killing you of like a pest. I'll watch you run around just a little longer."
He smirked and raised his hand to his chest. "Watching you follow Bierce's orders so obediently, has reminded me that I have a loyal pet as well."
Then he raised his hand and the wall behind him raised. "Here, let me introduce so. So you can both become more properly acquainted."
Behind Malak was a giant duck with nails in it's head and several hands on it's back.
Your eyes widened in fear.
"Now, you'll have to excuse me, mortal." Malak said as he straightened his tie. "I must take my leave. I have some business I need to attend to."
"Oh! And Bierce, I know you're peering through your puppet girl. I will settling matters with you soon enough."
Malak let out an evil laugh before disappearing.
Once Malak was gone, you could move and you were left alone with the giant duck.
•
After defeating the giant duck, you ran away through the sewers.
However, while you were halfway there, the giant duck broke down on the walls and started to chase you.
As the bigger duck chased you, the other duckies were blocking off your short cuts.
You kept running through the sewer water as you uses your boost.
But even with the boost, the giant duck was slowly catching up to you.
But just as you got out of the water, a gate shut on the giant duck, keeping him from you.
You let out a laugh before running back to the portal.
Just before you touched the portal, the giant duck broke his head through the wall and tried to eat you.
However, you were able to avoid the giant duck and ran into the portal.
Once you were back to the portal, you let out a loud cheer of victory.
"YES!"
Malak started to chuckle and you turned to the eyeball on the door.
"It vexes me greatly that you're still here, mortal. I had hoped you would have perished by this point. Because now she has another piece of that infernal ring!"
Malak sighed. "Every piece Bierce gets makes her more powerful. Don't you get that, sweetheart? What do you think is going to happen when she doesn't need you anymore?"
"She'll grant my wish to change my fate?"
"Do you really think she'll do that?"
"Pay no mind to him. He knows that I am getting more powerful and that makes him afraid. You're right love, I will grant your wish."
"Bierce. Tell her what happened to the last person who trusted you."
Bierce once again grew quiet and turned her back to you.
She waved her hand and opened the next portal.
"I'm warning you, mortal. The consequences will be dire if you continue to help her."
You stared at Malak for a little bit before turning to the newest portal which had a clown on it.
Who were you supposed to trust now?

MORTAL SOUL [CHAPTER THREE]
Deadly Decadence
You walked through the portal and saw a pit of lava keeping you from going any further.
"You'll need more than a speed boost to get across that. Fall into the pit and I think we can both guess where you'll end up." Bierce said.
"Okay so how do I get across that then?"
"Return to the ring alter. I have another present for you."
You sighed and returned as she instructed.
After feeling another wave of energy go through you, Bierce told you what new ability you gained.
"You have now gained the ability to teleport. Clap your hands together and your dominant hand should have a red fog surrounding it."
You clapped your hands and a red fog did surround your hand.
A red circle was also on the ground and it moved whenever you moved your hand.
"Move the circle to where you want to teleport and then clap again."
You moved the circle about ten feet from where you were and clapped.
A sudden red fog surrounded you and faded immediately after.
You were now in the spot where the circle was.
"That's so cool!" You said, smiling at your hands.
"I'm aware." Bierce said, looking at her nails.
You ran through the portal again and teleported over two pits of lava before walking into the nightmare.
You looked around and found yourself in what seemed a large garden with an even larger manor behind it.
"Keep your eyes open, love. The statues here are awfully life like."
"What does that mean?" You asked, only to get no answer.
You sighed and pulled out your tablet.
No soul shards yet.
You walked further into the garden through a set of gates.
The garden was even bigger now and there was a statue facing it's back to you.
You turned your head to look elsewhere, but when you looked back at the statue, it was now facing you.
You stared at the statue for a long time then slowly moved around it.
You entered onto a giant garden maze and that was where the soul shards were.
Due to the statue you saw earlier, you had a pretty good guess of how the monsters functioned in this realm.
They only moved when you weren't looking at them.
You figured that each nightmare had something to do with your past, or the last two places were extremely coincidental.
But you had no idea what your relation to this place was.
You didn't grow up in a manor and you didn't date anyone who was rich enough to own a manor.
You wondered what it meant.
You stepped into the garden and collected the first shard.
Suddenly, you heard footsteps shuffling behind the hedge walls.
"Yes, in case you were wondering, those footsteps are getting louder!" Bierce said.
You turned to your right and saw a statue taking a step out from behind the hedge walls.
You looked away for a quick second and when you looked back, the statue was a little closer.
You were right.
They only move when you don't look at them.
•
After collecting all the soul shards in the garden and teleporting over some spikes, you left the Garden and stood in front of the giant manor.
"Mmm, how nostalgic. I used have a manor like this, much bigger of course."
You rolled your eyes at Bierce's comment.
You walked up to the door and opened it.
Inside, everything was covered in gold.
"That's a lot of gold. They must have been extremely greedy, almost as much as you."
"Okay, I wasn't that bad!"
Now you understood.
The monsters in this realm represent your greed in your past life.
But you weren't THIS greedy.
You walked up to the ring alter and put the soul shards from the garden into it.
After doing so, you looked behind it and saw Malak staring down at you from one of the upper floors.
He let out a loud laugh that echoed through the empty corridors and teleported away.
You saw some soul shards down a hallway and began to collect them again.
•
After grabbing all the soul shards, you ran down the stairs in the ball room with many statues on your trail.
You touched the ring alter and gave it the remaining shards in exchange for the ring piece.
You grabbed the ring piece and the golden walls started to melt.
"Get out of here! Now!" Bierce said. "The nightmare is collapsing!"
You ran out of the manor and around the garden, back to where the third statue was.
"Kill her!" You heard Malak yell.
Then a loud laugh was heard and you turned to see a giant statue, standing up behind the house and grabbing giant axes.
He caught sight of you and laughed.
"HOLY SHIT!" You yelled as he threw a giant axe at you.
You ran out of the way and towards the gate.
You tried open it but it was locked.
The statue threw another axe at you and you moved out of the way as Malak began to chase you.
The axe hit the gate and shattered it.
You cheered and ran away from Malak and more giant axes being hurled at you.
You ran through the gates and down the stairs, back into the portal, escaping the nightmare once more.
You saw on your butt as you fell out of the portal but you were happy you were still alive.
Bierce laughed as you landed on the floor. "I didn't think you'd make it this far love, I really didn't!"
"Who knows, you might just go all the way."
You smiled at her, but then Malak started talking.
"If you believe her, you're dumber than you look. Once she gets what she wants, you're done."
Bierce rolled her eyes. "Oh yes. Trust the bloodthirsty demon, no doubt he'll have your best interest at heart!"
"And why should she trust you, of all people?"
You expected Bierce to have some sort of witty remark, but she stayed quiet.
"Um, what's the next nightmare, Bierce?"
She waved her hand to the next portal and it opened to reveal a duck face with a cone on it's head.

MORTAL SOUL [CHAPTER TWO]
Elementary Evil
The next portal had the face of a girl with shaggy hair on it.
When you walked into hallway, a giant red spider web thing blocked the way.
You tried getting through but it wouldn't let you.
"Malak has blocked the entrance." Bierce said inside your head.
"I don't think he likes you very much."
"You'll need inhuman speed to get through that barrier." She explained. "Good thing I'm here to help."
"Go back to the ring alter, the statue. I can grant you the ability to give you a speed boost for brief periods of time."
"Nice!" You said as you turned back around and walked back out of the portal.
When you walked back into the ballroom, you saw Bierce was resting her hand on the statue.
"Put your hand on it." She said.
You did as you were told and she closed her eyes.
Her hand began to glow a bright purple and you felt a giant wave of energy blast through you.
You got light headed and removed your hand off the statue.
"There." Bierce said. "You now have the ability for briefly run very, very fast."
"How do I..." You took in a deep breath. "How do I activate it?"
"Squeeze both hands into a fist while you are already running."
You decided to test it out and started running around the ballroom.
Then you squeezed both hands into a fist as Bierce said.
You suddenly got really, really fast and ran around the ballroom.
The "power up" lasted for about nine seconds.
"The power up will not work if your hands are still hot after using it." Bierce explained.
You laughed to yourself once you stopped running and ran inside the portal.
Then once you were able to use the speed boost again, you ran at the red web and activated your speed boast.
When you came in contact with it, it shattered on impact.
You went through the hallway and it led you to a giant elementary school.
It reminded of you that day.
The day you left and your life changed.
"Don't you ever miss your school days?" Bierce asked. "After all, it was the last time you were innocent."
You walked towards the door and opened it to reveal another red barrier.
"Another barrier. You know what to do."
You squeezed both your fists and ran into the barrier, breaking it.
Then you ran by a school bus that crashed into the school wall and into a small, empty auditorium.
When you arrived however, your speed boost ended and stage lights turned on.
Short music began to play as you read the banner above the stage.
Suddenly, a demonic little girl teleported onto the stage making you jump.
"Oooh a new friend!" She said. "I'm so excited! Welcome!"
"I heard we might be getting a new student here soon. So I put together this little welcoming party for ya!"
"...thank you?"
"You're welcome!" She said and smiled with dirty teeth. "It's really nice to have someone new to play with."
"Don't tell the others." She whispered. "But they've been getting pretty boring lately."
Then she giggled. "But you'll spice things up around here, won't ya? You can share everything with me! All your secrets, all your mistakes, all your pain."
"That's what best friends are for, right?" She growled as she teleported away.
"Looks like school is back in session." Bierce said as another set of doors opened.
You looked inside and saw a soul shard waiting for you.
You sighed and pulled out your tablet, ready to collect soul shards and avoid this little girl.
You ran around the school, collecting shards for a good five to ten minutes.
That was until the girl, who Bierce said her name was Agatha, teleported in front of you and almost caught you.
You screamed and quickly activated your speed boost to get away from her.
Even if the speed boost was only 9 seconds, you were able to get away from her.
As soon as you got away from her, you found the orange ball and stunned her.
Then you collected the rest of the soul shards as you avoided her.
When you collected all the soul shards, you walked into a little playground area where the ring statue was located.
You gave it the shards you collected and it removed the barrier to another area.
Which Bierce said was another zone.
You stood still for a few seconds in shock.
Another area?
You thought you were done.
You groaned loudly and walked into the new area.
The new area started off as a gymnasium and you were about to ignore the room and keep walking, but then you saw someone walking on a track above you.
It was dark and you couldn't see very well, but you could have sworn that you saw horns.
The figure vanished with a laugh as the doors to the next area opened.
Creepy.
You saw another red barrier up ahead in a more decrepit looking part of the school.
You were about to activate your speed boost, but Agatha teleported in front of you and you stopped moving.
"Awww, you took all my friends!" She said, kicking a paper across the floor.
"Well it's been a while since I got to play with anyone this long, but I can't play around with yoy anymore...Now, I'll show you what I can really do." Agatha said letting out a little laugh before she teleported away.
You waited a little while to see if she would teleport in front of you again, but she didn't.
Then you actived your super boost and broke the barrier.
You collected more soul shards and an extra shard that showed Agatha's location on your tablet for a short period.
"That's the last of the soul shards. Get the ring piece before Agatha gets you." Bierce said after you collected the rest of the soul shards.
Agatha teleported in front of you and ran at you, yelling.
"You'll never get the ring piece, I won't let you!"
You ran away from her using your speed boost and ran to the ring piece.
You touched the ring statue and exchanged the remaining ring pieces for the ring piece.
You were about to leave until Agatha teleported in front of the door and stopped you.
"I welcomed you here and I tried so hard to be nice to you but you just don't care!" She said angrily. "You don't want to be friend, you just want to steal my things!"
"You're a mean....BAD PERSON!"
Then she leaned forward and whispered to you. "Now you're in trouble...you made Daddy mad too..."
"Daddy?" You asked.
Agatha teleported away and the door behind you opened up.
You turned around and saw the same figure from before and you were right, it did have horns.
It seemed to be a demon of some kind.
"End of the road, mortal..."
"Malak?!" You said as he shape shifted into a ghost of some kind.
"Give that back to me!" He yelled.
"OH SHIT!" You quickly turned around and opened the door in front of you.
"Run! Malak's here!" Bierce yelled.
You activated your speed boost and pulled out the tablet to navigate through the hallways.
You made it back to the auditorium but Agatha blocked your way again.
"Going somewhere?!" She said before she teleported in front of the stage.
"You! You'll never escape! I won't let you take my friends from me!"
Then she made all the objects in the room disappear.
Then she kept teleporting around the room and chasing you around as she growled and snarled.
Like a boss battle.
Eventually, Bierce used some sort of power to open the door. "It's open!"
"Bierce!" Agatha yelled. "STAY OUT OF MY ROOM! You're both CHEATING!"
Then Agatha screamed as she chased you into the portal.
You were laughing as you made it back into Bierce's ballroom and cheered.
"Screw you, you creepy ass little girl!" You yelled at the portal with Agatha's face on it.
Bierce coughed and you turned to her.
"Oh, right." You gave her the ring piece and you noticed that Malak's eye was staring at you.
"Two down, seven more to go. Are you ready to keep going?"
She asked as the next portal opened up and a man who looked like a pirate was on it.

MORTAL SOUL [CHAPTER ONE]
Monkey Business
You hesitantly walked towards the portal and through it.
The portal led you to a long dark hallways full of whispers.
"Clock's ticking." The lady said, her voice echoing inside your head.
You walked through the hallway and into a doorway which led you to a stylish hotel.
"What a charming little hotel." She said. "Bring back any memories?"
The more you thought about her words, the more you realized how familiar this hotel was.
You've been here before.
You walked past the front desk and saw an elevator with a giant creature inside.
And that's when it hit you.
This is almost like the hotel you stayed at after you left home.
This is also where you met him.
Shaking away the thoughts about your past, you walked up to the elevator.
But stopped when the creature shrieked and the elevator closed.
While waiting for an elevator to open up again, you looked around at the...interesting art pieces of fancy monkeys on the wall.
When the elevator opened up again, you walked inside and the elevator moved on it's own without you having to press any buttons.
"Going up?" The lady said.
The elevator opened again a few minutes later and you were face to face with a statue holding a glowing purple ball, similar to the one in the ballroom.
"Do you see that little tablet on the ground? Pick it up."
You picked up the tablet and looked at it's screen.
"This is a device that allows you to see where the soul shards are and it also tells you how many there are to collect. Hold the device out in front of you to collect each soul share, and once you collected them all. Return to the statue and press your tablet against it. This will transfer the soulshards to the statue in exchange for a piece of the ring. Once you get the ring piece, leave the nightmare and we can move onto the next one." She explained.
"What's a soul shard?" You asked.
"A fragment of someone's soul, who has met their end in this nightmare."
"...I see."
"And one more thing. You're not alone within this maze of a hotel. There are monsters here, looking for you."
"...Is this like a game for you?" You asked.
The lady laughed. "A little bit. Yes."
"Enough instruction. Let's get this party started!"
You sighed and broke down the boards that separated you from the soul shards and began collecting them as the lady instructed you to.
As you ran around collecting the soul shards, you began to hear footsteps behind you.
Then you found a giant glowing red shard and collected it.
The words "enemies revealed" appeared on your tablet and you saw four red squares following you on your tablet.
You turned around and saw a group of monkey's wearing butler's outfits chasing you.
You also noticed they had knives as hands and they were covered in dried blood.
However, you were able to outrun them and once you did, the power up wore off and you could no longer see the location of the monsters on your tablet.
After collecting another large number of shards, you found a large orange ball and collected it.
The words "enemies stunned" appeared on your tablet and you couldn't hear any movement.
This lasted for a little while before the power up wore off as well.
You were about to grab the last ten until a monkey ran in front of you and cut you off.
You turned around but saw another one running at you.
Thankfully, there was a third hallway you could run down and you escaped the monkey's.
You ran around for a few more minutes before returning to last ten and collecting them.
"Yes! I got them all!" You cheered.
"Great job. You managed to survive. Now hurry back to the statue before the chef finds you!" The lady said.
"Chef?!" You asked.
As soon as you said that, you saw a giant monkey wearing a chef's outfit and a mustache, who had butcher knives for hands.
This monkey was also much faster than the others you had to deal with.
You screamed and ran away as fast as you could, using your tablet to help you find the statue.
Once you found it, you pressed your tablet against it and the entire hotel went quiet as the ring piece appeared in your hand.
Suddenly a loud and deep voice echoed around the hotel.
"Who dares?!" It growled.
"Shoot he knows you're here now, get back to the portal! Hurry!" The lady said.
The elevator opened up and you ran inside.
A monkey tried to follow you in, but the doors shut on it.
The sounds of angry monkeys was so loud that you couldn't even hear the elevator music anymore.
When you were brought back down to the lobby, all of the elevators opened up and all of the monkeys ran out, chasing you.
"Run! Run!" The lady yelled.
You ran as fast as you could to portal and another voice called out to you.
"There's no escape for you, mortal!"
Once you landed back in the ballroom and realized you were safe, you started to laugh and you flipped off the portal.
"Eat shit you murder monkey assholes!"
You turned around and saw the lady holding her hand out to you.
"Oh, right." You said as you gave her the ring piece.
"You made it." She said smiling. "And I see you met my friend, sooner than I expected."
"Friend?"
As soon as you said that, the ball on the door up the stairs began to glow.
Suddenly it exploded and turned into an eyeball.
"Bierce!" The eyeball growled. It was the same voice who yelled at you earlier.
"Still so persistent after all this time." He scoffed. "Do not listen to her, mortal. She's just using you. Give her the ring and there will be...consequences."
"This is your only warning. Help her and you will suffer!"
The lady, Bierce, rolled her eyes and waved her hand in his direction. "Don't pay any attention to him. He cannot reach you here."
"The ring is called "The Riddle of Heaven". An ironic name, don't you think?" She said as she held the ring piece in between her fingers.
"A demon's power is contained inside it. The creature of infinite cruelty that you just met, Malak." She said as she gestured to the door.
"Complete the ring, and you can use Malak's power to fulfill your darkest desires. Or so the legend goes."
"I see..."
You definitely don't trust Malak. I mean. Who would?
But you don't trust Bierce either. Afterall, Malak could be telling you the truth, and she could just be using for your own advances.
"Eight more pieces to go. Are you ready for another nightmare?" She asked as the next portal opened up.
[Hope you enjoyed. Stay tuned for more and have a good day]
