Anyway-
Honeymoon Malec HCs (don't come for me I haven't read all the books)
Magnus spends countless sleepless nights planning the perfect wedding
Despite his insistence that this stuff "doesn't matter that much" to him, Alec cannot help but participate. Frequently.
As per the many long, sometimes exhaustive conversations they have throughout the process, they wind up with some conglomeration of mixed cultural wedding between Warlock and Shadowhunter, with a few dashes of common Mundane aspects just because Magnus loves them
When they deed is done, they spend an hour fighting over who will get carried over the threshold
More specifically, they fight over who will do the carrying
Magnus wins and carries Alec under the logic that he's taller and therefore more equipped
Neither of them realize or mention that part being for after the honeymoon
I wish could say there's not a lot to be said about the actual honeymoon because they spent the whole time fucking about it, but Magnus was extremely insistent that they make it to every single attraction and tourist location he booked them for. It's a little bit infuriating for Alec, who had literally never been in a relationship before meeting Magnus, but it's too endearing to be seriously mad about it.
They definitely sent postcards home because Alec definitely gets homesick and Magnus definitely signs every one with some variation of "but everything is fine and we're literally thrilled none of you are here, kay byeeeee :)"
Alec does not agree to more hot air balloon shenanigans
Magnus books a blimp instead
Sigh goddamnit Magnus *shakes head broodily*
The blimp is actually very fun except for the part where Magus almost crashes and the conductor they hired to help them has to manually take over
At least Magnus had the forethought to hire an conductor though, right babe? :D
Magnus finds a little Downworlder club everywhere they go and this place is certainly no exception, so they spend at least a couple of nights drunk and a little over the top surrounded by people Alec has definitely never met before, but Magnus seems unexpectedly familiar with
Alec learns a lot about how much culture and social rules change in the Downworld depending on where you are in the physical world
He learns a lot about Magnus in general
They learn a lot about each other together
There's a very real possibility Alec gets too drunk and tries to "renew their vows" and Magnus has to remind him that they're literally on their honeymoon
When things do eventually conclude and they return to the real world, they create a little homage display of photos and memorabilia in the loft to always remember the amazing experiences they had
