Over the Nexus Deck Profile: Malefic World
Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D Bonds Beyond Time was a movie that was likely unbearable to watch, UNLESS you were already a big fan of Yugioh. This movie introduced the Malefic archetype, a series of monsters with big attack stats that are easily summoned from the hand. Sounds great, right? But there are a few problems with them. Like the Earthbound Immortals, Malefics require a Field Spell in order to survive, and like the Meklords, summoning them locks all other monsters out of attacking. Summoning a 4000 attack Malefic Cyber End Dragon on your first turn is great, until your opponent sets a monster facedown and you realize as long as they keep setting monsters, you can't get at their life points. Fortunately, these issues are sort of resolved by Malefic World, a field spell that lets you choose three Malefic cards from your deck and randomly add one of them to your hand instead of conducting your normal draw. This allows us to not only quickly access our Malefic monsters, but also Malefic Claw Stream, a trap that lets us destroy a monster the opponent controls if we control a Malefic monster. Another important feature of this deck is Skill Drain, which prevents the Malefics from destroying themselves and locking your other monsters from attacking, which isn't as good as it sounds because you can still only control one Malefic monster at a time, but it works for this deck's other monsters, namely Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon, Dark Armed Dragon, and Trident Dragion, which we can make using Malefic Stardust Dragon and Dread Dragon. Duels with a Malefic deck are slow, but the upside is you're usually in control for most of the time. Let's go make the 5D's timeline even more confusing than it already was! MONSTERS (15): Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon x1 Dark Armed Dragon x1 Dread Dragon x3 Malefic Cyber End Dragon x3 Malefic Parallel Gear x2 Malefic Stardust Dragon x3 Malefic Truth Dragon x2 SPELLS (16): Allure of Darkness x1 Dark Hole x1 Geartown x3 Malefic World x3 Mystical Space Typhoon x2 Pot of Duality x3 Terraforming x3 TRAPS (9): Deck Devastation Virus x2 Malefic Claw Stream x3 Skill Drain x2 Solemn Judgment x1 Torrential Tribute x1 EXTRA DECK: Chimeratech Fortress Dragon x3 Cyber End Dragon x3 Malefic Paradox Dragon x3 Stardust Dragon x3 Trident Dragion x3

“While this card is face-up on the field, you can activate this effect instead of conducting a normal draw during your Draw Phase. Choose 3 ‘Malefic’ cards from your Deck and have your opponent pick 1 of them at random to add to your hand. Shuffle the rest back into your Deck.”
I despise what the professor is doing with the children in this school. I can't do anything to prevent it from happening either! Leo isn't doing anything about it either!
