Harry Potter characters according to my mother
Background information: My mother is horrible when it comes to names. Especially names that she is not accustomed to. Now, even though I have exposed her to Harry Potter and its beloved characters many, many, many times, she still cannot grasp some. The following are her two major mistakes:
So, today, while watching the Harry Potter Marathon on ABC Family, she introduced me to the character of "Malfoid." I had to inform her that she means "Malfoy" and that there is no and never has been any "d" at the end of his name.
Her prior offense involved the wonderful Severus Snape. Time and time again she would refer to his as "Snapes" (yes, with an "s" on the end of his name.) I usually ignore her, but when she interrupted me in the movie theater during the Prince's Tale to say "So, Snapes is Harry's dad???" I just facepalmed hard.
With these two names, it kind of sounds like, to my mother anyway, it should be Harry Potter and the STDs. Because really, Harry having Snapes and a Malfoid in his life does not sound very pleasant.
