DQB2 Malhalla Trivia:
Spoilers for: Final boss fight!
Hargon's castle, Malhalla.
[Builder was originally on this picture but Yuzu deleted them from existence]
This is the spot the final sequence happens in, but before the castle gets destroyed. I didn't know it existed on the normal map, honestly. I was baffled when I saw the crafting table just chilling there in Hargon's castle out of all places. I was so confused before I realised where this was.
I was not prepared for Malhalla. Nobody warned me that I would be swimming in a giant orb of blood on the moon, mining my BFF's shed eyeballs so I could power a spaceship.
Dragon Quest Builders “What If... The Builder Never Fought The Last Battle?” *Major Story Spoilers*
Understanding last battle as the one Hargon and a complete Malroth (vestige included) take part of. You know, the one in the castle. What if it never happened? I don’t mean the builder ran away or Hargon actually surrendered. Just... By some odd reason, the builder doesn’t feel prepared. It could be anything the thing that could stop them from fighting, but I’d rather choose the one in which they don’t feel ready to confront Hargon because they know they’ll have to fight their best friend. Whether they stop at N04H’s death, the Buggy Buggy last upgrade, breaking the shield or even in front of the throne room. And Hargon just spends a whole eternity because Malroth wants to see the Builder before sending the whole world to that trash can in the PC’s desktop of the developers. (Beware SE, Malroth is able to recycle a more than 2GB big file!)
Hargon then gets tired and asks Malroth what’s wrong. And Malroth says they want to see the Builder before sending the world to the *ahem*. Hargon is surprised, but his devotion decides to join Malroth on his pursuit. The Builder is going around with the Buggy Buggy or even on the ark, trying to find the way out of Malhalla or something. When Malroth finds them they take them to the evil lair, but since his “vestige” is far more active than the god itself he actually treats them gently. Hargon is left stunned by this. What in the world is happening? They’re... drinking tea? Talking about “old times”?
“This is it, he thinks, the only way to get things well done is to make them by yourself.”
Thus, Hargon decides to find something to make him become the Master of Destruction. But... Without taking the powers from Malroth himself he has a difficult task at hand.
The big Malroth in his monster form and the builder must stop Hargon’s feet before it is too late, but... Is it their true destiny to slaughter the insane priest to stop him or is there more to it? Malroth is already defying the destiny he’s been put on...
You’ll have to wait to find out if I ever remember writing about this.

DQB2 Malhalla Trivia:
There's a black block box in the bottom left corner of destroyed Malhalla
"It's almost half seven, Mallory Fawke and Cosmo Perry have been declare KIA. How do you feel?" "Kinda hungry" Mal admitted.
