the other day, @bleumanouchesims threw the idea of a history gameplay during porfiriato (☝🏻🤓 méxico's pre revolutionary era) and now i can’t stop thinking about it imagining sims before revolution: trains, haciendas, little cafés with gramophones, and ofc all the tensions under surface. at most these will be just some lookbook because i really wouldn't fuck around with historical saves but i have two ideas in my head:
a mexican chinese family in coahuila (maybe hacienda nordhaven somehow connected to town life chestnut ridge), working hard, but suddenly facing hate, antiasian feeling, and a country breaking around them.
my favorite legend, la mulata de córdoba. in old times she drew a boat on a prison wall to escape inquisition. what if we moved her to cristero war, civil soldiers and cristeros alike new inquisitors? she'd become more like la bruja in temporada de huracanes 🏳️⚧️: everybody would talk about her, fear her, desire her but nobody let her live free.
