Ask game! 🙊🦉🎬😁
🙊Your coworkers or classmates stumble across one of your fics, but don't know you're the author. Do you fess up? Or keep quiet?
If they loved it, I'm taking the credit. I love to be praised. If they didn't love it, I have never heard of fanfiction. This isn't quiet the same thing but one time my sister was on a date with someone interested in a character I had written fanfiction about and my sister explained to him the plot of my fanfiction and apparently he was very interested and asked several clarifying questions lmao
🦉Is there another author that helped inspire you to write?
I don't really get inspired by authors like that. I think I've said before a lot of my writing style came from taking what I DIDN'T like and figuring out a way to write in a way that didn't involve what I disliked in fiction. There is a AO3 author who wrote very beautifully, however that inspired me to publish fanfiction which they eventually stumbled across and praised very highly which was a highlight of my online anonymous author career for sure.
🎬One of your fics gets turned into a TV series. Which one is it and what network is it on?
I would rather be shot and killed then watch anything I wrote turned into visual media that isn't like, a cartoon. Even then. It's not something I would ever want to happen, I think. I just think adaptation TV is bad, and I would much rather keep something intended for a written media as it is instead of watching them take all the details and nuance and spinning into something that can be coarse blended into a 45-minute grey sludge episode.
This is also coming from someone who doesn't like inspired works about my own fanfiction though, so. I just don't enjoy seeing other people's takes on my ideas unless you're @primewritessmut and writing about vivisection.
😁What makes you happiest? New fic comments, kudos, bookmarks, user subscribers, story subscribers, or Tumblr asks?
I think it's a tie between new comments or a detailed bookmark. A good bookmark can really make me happy. It's like, not only did I like this but I'm going to leave a little note or summary to myself letting a future version of me know why I should re-read it.
