Nikomalina (malikolina?) sceanrio where Nikolai loves recounting epic tales to his lovers any chance he can get- on boatrides when the sea is quiet, under the stars near the lake, early morning before they need to get up and going
One evening he tells them a story that is, essentially, a variant of Hadestown, the Orpheus myth. of a cold and lonely girl and a boy she fell in love with, who sang hope and life into the world again.
Alina cries just a tiny bit when Orpheus turns around the first time. Mal begs Nikolai to change the ending each time he retells it, and Nikolai promises him "maybe it will turn out this time" but.. we all know how it ends. He tells it anyway.
The gremlin inside of Nikolai just adores how distraught his two get over the tale- and it is a very good excuse to comfort them both with cuddles and kisses ;)
