Mall Cop

Our last post was a wrap on our mini series suggesting bad movies fun for sleepovers. We are now going to go back reviewing just plain old bad movies, and not the ones that are funny bad, the ones are truly bad. So to pick back up, we are going to discuss the 2009 movie Mall Cop. For having a 34% on rotten tomatoes this movie comes up a lot. Rotten tomatoes says “Mall Cop has some laughs, but its plot is flimsy and lacking in any sustained comic momentum” and we completely agree. It is thought of as kind of a classic but if you go back to watch it now we guarantee you will stop watching within the first 20 minutes. The premise of this movie is that a single father who is a mall security guard and takes his job very seriously goes to various events and they never go right. As the movie progresses, you just keep seeing the same bad acting and awkward interactions that are supposed to be funny but are not. And for these reasons you should not watch Mall Cop.
