i just wanted to say thank you so much for your post about inclusiveness in the fandom. i feel like that really is an issue, what with all the people saying that people who only heard about it because of the movie are "greenies" or whatever. i, personally, have loved the book since i knew there was a movie coming out, but since i don't post a lot of tmr, people in the fandom seem to be kind of dismissive when i try to talk to them, and it's kind of sad to me, so yeah thank you for saying that :)

i think that people like having a book and a fandom all to themselves and they hate the thought of new people coming in and taking over. at least it’s that way for me. But we should still be welcoming and not make others feel like giant turds for wanting to join the fandom or make people hide or be shy to join it or not want to join it. It’s not like an amusement park where you have to pay to get in, it’s up to the fans to be warm and welcoming and not scare off greenies. our fandom is pretty intimidating cause we’re always saying we dont want new people and we like the small fandom, like yeah i like it too but every good thing must come to an end, right?
