I just finished watching heeramandi. It was sooo good.

Man every single actor and actress was fantastic.

And finally when Bibbojaan died and all the tawaifs of the heeramandi united and let Bibbojaan know that she is not alone was so powerful. Like wow. Sanjay Leela Bhansali you are fucking awesome.

watched the second episode of heeramandi because i am quickly becoming obsessed

poor lajjo! she did not deserve to be humiliated like that and then die. and i feel like i understand mallika a lot better now. on the one hand she's awful but on the other life hasn't been kind to her.

i also liked Ustaad's moment at the end. he's doing gone the whole episode but melodramatically cries at lajjo's funeral, interrupting mallika and the other courtesans' emotional moment.

ok i just started watching Heeramandi (i have only seen the first episode) and tell me why it is so good? i'm loving it.

the set design and costumes are SO PRETTY, the lighting really adds to the mood, there are so many different storylines (what happened to Rehana? what's happening with Saima and Iqbal, because it looks like they're married but also she looks really young and he looks much older, but also he seems nice. and i'm excited to see Tajdar and Alam's romance play out). i already love the characters (Mallikajaan seems so evil but very intriguing).

and i'm already a fan of Ustaad. idk why Ustaad seemed to like Cartwright though, because so far Cartwright is awful. maybe Cartwright will get a redemption arc.
