He was extremely beloved to them so they all kissed his hands and asked for his du'as. They honoured him and as he was leaving, one of the students opened the door of his car and closed it up for him when he sat in the car. They drove for approximately 5 minutes and Habib was severely sweating with pain on his face and tears in his eyes. He asked the driver to stop the car immediately and open his door. The driver opened the door and he saw that Habib's hand was stuck in the door and it was filled with blood, and tears were coming out of Habib's eyes due to pain. The driver asked him why he didn't inform him when it first happened and he replied, "I did not want the student to know what happened because it would have hurt him. What would Abd al-Qadir say on the day of judgement? that he broke the heart of a student who mistakenly harmed him whilst closing the door?" - That is da'wah. That is mercy. That is character.
