Abby’s Go-to Thick & Creamy Mocha Latte
This is a coffee that I've been making myself for a bit now. I'm drinking it as I write this recipe. I've experimented with it over and over again to bring it to this point and I am satisfied with where the recipe rests at now. It feels very vulnerable to me, sharing this specific recipe. Please keep in mind throughout this recipe that I am lactose intolerant and I use decaf for all of my coffees because I have a slight caffeine allergy, so these may have an effect on my proportions and tastes.
This recipe was designed for a 16 oz (2 cups) mug, and uses US measurements.
Ingredients:
1 cup milk
1 packet (about 0.1 oz or 3 ml) instant coffee mix
1 packet (about 2 oz or 50 ml) rich hot chocolate mix
2 oz (about 50 ml) malted milk powder
½ cup heavy whipping cream (or half & half)
1 oz (about 25 ml) sugar
drizzle of honey
pumpkin pie spice, to taste
