I commissioned @arrgh-whatever to paint my cat Malva, because he is Ukrainian like her and opened up emergency commissions (now closed again).

Do look at his profile, though, he does wonderful work!

Standing by for when he opens his commissions again already, actually, as I know a wonderful lady who wants her own cat painted as well and if timing works out at all, I will give her a commission with Vic as a birthday present in October. Or as a Christmas present, if it takes longer.

My cat Malva is three years old today (according to her Ukrainian pet passport)! Born in Donetsk, was surrendered to a shelter in Kyiv, then went to Munich in a van full of dogs, with some cat carriers stuffed in between the dog crates. She was in her carrier for four days on end and now hates having to be in a box.

However, by now, she has been with me almost as long as she has been anywhere else combined. I'm trying to do that rescue cat thing for her where I love and spoil her so much she forgets she came from a war zone, and life was ever horrible.
