Embarrassment. Traitor. Forgotten. But secretly he thinks sheâs pretty brave.
â the thought of you with him/her makes me sick â
âYou have been telling me that since you found out Narcissa and I were betrothed. I donât think itâs going to change anything.â
âDonât be stubborn. Try it!â
Moody shot Andromeda a pained but resigned glare before turning back to the little girl who was holding a spoonful of a bright green looking substance.
âItâs yummy!â Dora insisted squeakily, waiting for Moody to try it.Â
He sighed and knelt down to inspect the bowl at his feet that contained more of the green goop.Â
âTry it!â Dora ordered again, holding the spoon out to him.Â
Moody took it from her and, taking comfort in the knowledge that Andromeda wouldnât have given her daughter anything poisonous to play with, stuck the spoon into his mouth.Â
âMmmm,â he nodded at the little girl. âDelicious.âÂ

âWhat was I saying?
âOh riiiight.  Shes left the family that doesnât like people.  You know, I donât think I could leave my family even if they donât like people?  They are, like, related to me.  Sheâs brave.  veerrrrry brave.  I like what I have seen but I havenât talked to her much.  I should have her for tea.  Whereâd my owl gooooo?â
AM, I got the memo. Please, let me know if there is anything I can do to help him, anything at all. It's not right. -AT
AT,
You can be a character witness, if youâre willing. Write out your testimony in any case. Fortunately, we have enough people offering to speak on his behalf, that we can pick and choose. You can come round to talk about it, or just send it back.Â

âHer... Iâm supposed to hate her. Well... I do hate her,â Alecto tipped her head with a giggle. âSheâs a bloody traitor, but fucking hell if she isnât strong. Stupid, but she took what she wanted. I like that part, but thatâs it I think...â

âAndromeda? Sheâs brilliant. No, no, thatâs a thing people say, but they never usually mean it. I do. Brilliant, that woman is,â Marlene spoke with fiery insistence, hands flying through the air with excitement. âBut you donât say those things about her, things that people could say about anybody. Because sheâs so unique. You donât write love songs about Andromeda fucking Tonks. You write epic poems. Because thatâs what she is: a fighter, a goddess. See? She even gets me going off like a mad woman.Â
âAndyâs one of the bravest people I know. Brave in a way that maybe people canât see or⌠donât understand sometimes. And she never looks for any attention for it. She knows love and seeing her with her family could make anybody less cynical. Wonderful, kind type of mum, the sort every child should get to haveâŚâ Marlene trailed off for a moment, having just paid the woman a compliment more significant to her than almost anyone could know.Â
Then, in a flash, she resumed her bubbly, effusive praise, âstarted off with the completely wrong picture of her and she changed my mindââMarlene snapped her fingersââthatâs what she does. I could describe how she looks and say sheâs beautiful. She is. But sheâs so many things. I could talk us to death and back before I even got âround to something like that.âÂ

Andromedaâs a special woman, no doubâ abouâ thaâ. Sheâs braver than mosâ people see. It takes guts to leave yar family anâ everythinâ youâve ever known after all.  Buâ she knew she had convictions anâ beliefs anâ she stuck to âem. She didnna take the easy way out. Gotta respect âer for thaâ.
Sheâs a kinâ woman, anâ a good mother. Thaâ little girl oâhers is a righâ handful, but she is adorable. Anâ Andromeda is devoted to âer. But still manages to be âerself.
