The Wish Granter AU.
(( Whose wish got granted here, I wonder?
(( A fun fact: I tried to use a reference for a different, but similar pose here, but Mama just wouldn’t cooperate with me, until I threw away the ref and decided to do a more original pose. Thus, this happened. Drawing the hands killed me. And Rei’s supposed to be floating, hence the weird-looking angle??
(( Mama looks so large though??
(( Rei’s stupid tight pants I haaaaatelove it [*cries*].

Halloween helping || event

Bad luck. When the time came to pick the ones that would have to help with the organization of the Halloween Party hosted by DD -damn the top guy that had decided that was a good idea- Itaru had got the shorter straw. Even though he would have preferred to continue his usual work, he ended up as part of the team in charge of doing the organization for the party.
And so, he wasn’t able to escape the ‘social situation’ he didn’t even wanted to know about.
More than that, he was expected to wear a pretty decent costume that wouldn’t shame the company. So well, he looked around the internet and ended up commissioning a piece of cosplay from a classic game. It would look pretty much like your classic Vampire costume, just more elegant, so he wouldn’t be ‘outing’ himself as a gamer and it would suit the general style of the party.
So, the day had come and he was dressed up, long black overcoat with golden details, white shirt and black vest with several belts as decoration, a belt with a chain and long boots. It even came with a sword to fit the set, and the long wig which he hardly cared to style. Even so, to make justice to the costume, he should -probably- wear some appropriate make-up. He had even gotten a little coupon for the store, which was also relate to DD corporation.
So that’s why he was here, dressed as a Vampire, looking around the mall for the store that appeared in the little ticket. And well, he was just a bit lost… but to be fair he didn’t came to the mall too often… unless it was for the tech and games stores.
mamachansenpai replied to your post: “Werewolves are mcfreaking heavy!” “Pass it on.”
“You vampires are just too skinny is all, don’t go picking on our weight just because of thattttt~”
“This.”
“This comin’ from someone who just up and squashed me onto the ground with his back!”
This next bouquet required a little more time to procure. Madara had to visit a couple different florists before he was able to find the exact flowers he wanted. Stargazer lilies and white heather. A statement of 'I miss you' with a promise of 'wishes come true'. He would deliver them as usual to rest atop Rei's coffin before hurrying off once more. He just had a few more errands to run that morning. After morning classes, Madara was fully set on skipping the afternoon ones and staying with Rei.

Preparations for the upcoming events have been hectic; Rei, wanting to forget that tense talk about ‘his’ future he’d had with his parents that night, poured himself into work as much as he could. Aside from [UNDEAD], some of the other units have asked him for assistance, and he couldn’t turn them down, not when payment was also offered as compensation. Of course, it’d be wise to gather as much funding as he could get to leave to his juniors once he’d graduated…
Aside from idol work, there were also other things he’d been doing behind the scenes. It’s tough shielding the others from harm, having to do it covertly to prevent future controversies from affecting the careers of those dear to him, but it’s his duty as unit leader, and elder. He couldn’t allow such young talents to be crushed before they get to bloom beautifully.
Never again.
It would be nice if he could have someone to confide in, even for a brief moment, but alas; everyone was busy in their own way, and Rei felt like he’d just be bothering them on top of their workloads.
No, he couldn’t have that.
That meant that Madara, being a solo unit, would be having twice, or even thrice the workload. That thought concerned Rei to no end, but it was the only explanation he could think of for his boyfriend’s long absences. Sadly, even the pleasant surprise of finding flowers on his coffin had stopped.
Rei had been informed by the florist that the bouquet of carnations and camellias had been delivered, assuring him that Madara had received the flowers. It was good news, but the lack of an immediate response made Rei more and more anxious as hours passed, having to constantly resist the urge to go find Madara, just so he could see him for a second or two.
But, doing that would be time spent on less-productive things, and he’d be left open for the upsetting thoughts to plague his already tired being once again.
He didn’t want to think about it.He wanted to forget about it all.
A few days later, just as Rei had resigned himself that Madara was simply too busy to send him a return bouquet, an exquisitely sweet scent greeted him upon returning to the Light Music clubroom. The colorful sight lying on top of his coffin, a stark contrast against the drab background of the room, instantly prompted Rei to drop the clipboard he was holding, his legs quickly carrying him towards his coffin as sheets of paper spilled all over the floor.
Stargazers! And…heather? What rare blooms…
So, these must be the reason!
Rei heard himself laugh in disbelief at his own doubts as he tenderly stroked the colorful petals of a stargazer lily with his fingertips, before giving it a gentle, adoring kiss.
What an unbelievable lover he has; wasn’t he busy?
Even with that thought, Rei smiled, for the first time in days, enjoying the sweet scent of the flowers that had given him respite from the anxious thoughts within his mind.
If ‘wishes come true’, then he wished he could see his sun again, even if for a short time…
The next morning, Madara smiled at the bouquet of red lilies in a vase of water on the dining room table. After eating a quick breakfast, Madara was out the door early and on his way once more to the florist. The flowers left on top of Rei's coffin that morning were a beautiful bundle of bluebells for gratitude.

He didn't want to go back home that night, not when he still hadn't sent in his reply, which then led to his parents sending him a second letter via crow mail. They'd sent one of their bigger crows this time, meaning that he'd have no choice but to comply right away.
The conversation with his parents that night wasn't at all pleasant; Rei could still feel the furious shaking within his body even upon returning to school the next morning.
Did he really have to do much more to convince the hard-headed members of their clan, or else---His freedom had already been compromised; must they tighten the leash around his neck further? Unwilling, and unable to spend a minute more at home, Rei forced himself to brave the morning's light, walking all by himself. By the time he reached the Light Music clubroom, he couldn't feel his legs anymore; only by sheer willpower was he able to keep himself standing.
But, every cloud had a silver lining, and for him, it came in the form of a bundle of bluebells.
Such a beautifully bright color, Rei thought, although he'd collapsed to his knees beside his own coffin from exhaustion. He picked up the bundle with shaking hands, admiring the flowers even as he needed sleep badly, and urgently. Forget what had happened earlier; he only needed to know that his message had been received, and received with such love and care. That's what's most important...
Did he really deserve such love coming from a man who's equally broken (in more ways than one) as he? If only their romance could continue outside the walls of Yumenosaki. If only their romance could get rid of the nightmare waiting for him outside the school's perimeter come graduation.
If only...If only...
Curling up into a ball on the floor, only having his coffin to lean on, Rei clutched the flowers close to his heart, tearfully and wordlessly offering his own thanks to the one who sent them until sleep finally came for him.
Don't mind Mama as he quietly slips into the light music club room to leave a small bundle of vibrant sunflowers on top of Rei's coffin before merrily heading back out.

Why in the hell were his parents even awake at this hour?
They absolutely have no business being awake at this early hour!
Unfortunately, they were awake, and had sent him via crow mail quite a lengthy message that he didn’t need to read so early in the morning, resulting in the vampire sinking into a bad mood.
How dare they…How dare they—!
This time, it was difficult to pretend that nothing was bothering him, and yet Rei kept up his usual smiling mask as much as he could, using his daytime lethargy as a means for escaping matters that he simply had no patience for. If only he could just retreat into the safe confines of his coffin and stay there all day, but he had to start stepping up [UNDEAD]’s game now that the end of the year—the end of his freedom—was approaching.
Unable to handle the stress with a straight face anymore, Rei excused himself from their planning session, citing tiredness as his excuse. It wasn’t even a total lie; he’d reached his limit for the first half of the day. It’s already amazing that he’d stayed awake this long, although he could’ve stayed longer had it not for that damned letter.
Besides, he’d already given his unitmates the necessary details. That should be enough for them to come up with something while he deals with his bad mood.
He’d managed to drag himself back to the Light Music clubroom, having refused any help while insisting that he’ll be fine by himself. Of course that was a lie; he wasn’t ‘fine’ at all. He even felt like throwing up whenever he’d remember what he’d read that morning, but he didn’t want to involve the others into his personal problems.
Hadn’t he proven himself to be capable to the lot of them already? What more must he do to convince those hard-headed buttheads? And no; he definitely had no intention of getting married, especially not to someone of their choosing!
He hadn’t replied to his parents’ letter yet, wishing that they’d just forget about it for something less trivial, like they’ve always done in the past. What right have they to start behaving like they’re ‘parents’, now of all times—
—A sweet, floral scent greeted Rei upon opening the door to the clubroom, the vampire becoming instantly confused as he couldn’t remember leaving anything with that scent in the room. And even with his bad, and tired eyesight, he could see something bright in the otherwise drab interior, and it’s on top of his coffin.
Interest piqued, Rei closed the door behind him, approaching the foreign object, and found it to be a bouquet of sunflowers.
Sunflowers.
Who in their right minds would give a vampire like him /sun/flowers??
Of course, there’s only one person who would do exactly that sort of thing, and that knowledge brought out a faint smile from Rei.
“Ah, if only you would sit still long enough for me to have you to myself…”
Rei had gathered the bouquet into his arms, cradling it with care as he stared longingly at the closest bloom facing him. Imagining his sun’s big, silly grin on it, he then hugged the bouquet close to his chest as his heavy heart made him sink unto his knees on the floor, and started sobbing to himself at the unfairness of his circumstances. The sunflowers, substituting for his sun, now served as his source of comfort.
…If he wished and cried hard enough, would the flowers send their message of undying love and hopeful happiness to the Heavens, and grant him what he wanted?
