Hey guys, just momming around. lol, have a great day.
Sometimes being on social media reminds me I'm not a bad parent lol I have a parenting Instagram where I only follow other parents. It makes it easier to see what I want to see. Anyway, I see a lot of Montessori posts and it makes me feel good to know I'm accidentally teaching in a Montessori way. Or knowing that my kid is developing so well because I give her ample attention and affection. There are so many days I don't feel like a good parent, but it turns out she's doing ok.
Sol is turning 2 years old soon!
Some of the things she has learned so far:
Learned to recognize her colors
Consistent count to 10 and know the numbers when she sees them
Can count to 5 in Spanish
Learned so many words in both Spanish and english
Learned to express when she's upset, still a work in progress though, she's a baby lol
She uses the potty, though still a work in progress
When I tell her I love her, she says "et tu" I actually don't know where she learned that lol
Ok I'm done being a proud mom lol gi on about your day.

Tips for increasing Playtime
Playtime is essential for a child's development, providing benefits for cognitive, physical, social, emotional, language, and creative development. However, with busy schedules, finding time for play can be a challenge. Prioritizing playtime, limiting screen time, providing age-appropriate toys and activities, incorporating play into everyday activities, encouraging outdoor play, and joining a playgroup or sports team are some ways to increase playtime. By making playtime a priority and creating opportunities for play, parents can promote their child's overall development and well-being.

Nurturing Emotional Intelligence in your Child
Nurturing your child's emotional intelligence is a crucial aspect of their overall development. Emotional intelligence (EI) refers to the ability to recognize, understand, and manage one's own emotions, as well as the emotions of others. Here are some tips on how to help your child develop their emotional intelligence:
Help them identify and name their emotions: Encourage your child to identify and label their emotions, whether they are feeling happy, sad, angry, or frustrated. This will help them understand and recognize their emotions, which is the first step in managing them.
Teach them empathy: Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of others. Help your child develop empathy by encouraging them to imagine how others might feel in different situations.
Model healthy emotional expression: Children learn by example, so it's important to model healthy emotional expression yourself. Show your child that it's okay to express your emotions in a healthy way, such as talking about your feelings or taking a break when you're feeling overwhelmed.
Encourage problem-solving: Help your child learn problem-solving skills so they can cope with difficult emotions or situations. Teach them to brainstorm solutions and evaluate the pros and cons of each option.
Support their emotional development: Encourage your child to explore their interests and pursue activities that make them happy. This will help them develop a sense of self-worth and confidence, which are important for emotional well-being.
Be patient and supportive: Developing emotional intelligence is a process that takes time and practice. Be patient and supportive as your child learns to recognize and manage their emotions.
By nurturing your child's emotional intelligence, you can help them develop the skills they need to navigate their emotions and relationships in a healthy and productive way.
