Every time I watch Madoka Magica I notice things I hadn't before

For instance, the way the rain gets heavier as Sayaka's emotional state deteriorates when she and Madoka are at a bus stop after the battle with Elsa Maria

  Homura's hair and eyes weren't always as dull and lifeless as she first seemed to be

She also gets her heavy artillery from a reliable source

The graffiti on the wall that leads to Oktavia von Sekendorff's witch zone is relevant as fuck

On the topic of graffiti, the scribbles on the walls of the abandoned building where Gertrud put up her barrier are quotes from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's Faust

There's also the way Mami's battle tactics change from careful and more focused on range (vs. Gertrud, top image) to reckless and close-ranged (vs. Charlotte, bottom image)

And speaking of Mami--
