i think i realized crystal wasn't meant to be an anime at toeis viewpoint, i mean they treated it like another accessory or merchandise instead of a renewal of the series, i wonder if the sudden change of directives for the next season means toei actually realized the value of the franchise, i mean they really made an effort with saint seiya soul of gold (at least they did put more effort on the BR than SMC's) if theyre going to treat it like a cash-cow better give SM top notch treatment.

It’s pretty upsetting to learn that the main reason Crystal was made was to keep the franchise going (we learned this by episode 3) so they could keep selling and releasing more merchandising (and thus more income of money).

They didn’t want to celebrate the 20th anniversary or treat the long time fans or even get a whole new generation of people into Sailor Moon by Sailor Moon Crystal.

No, that would’ve been the logical and perfect thing to do; they instead wanted an excuse (the cheapest possible) to keep the franchise going so they could keep releasing more and more stuff.

Yeah, Crystal is nothing but a cheap excuse.

If TOEI had cared about any of the things I mentioned before (the old fans, the potential new fans or the franchise itself) Crystal would’ve never turned out the way it did.
