#Progress #LND Ballgown - I found a #BTS photo of the #skirt construction so I'm trying to mimic similar techniques, with some #ruffling under the crinkle layers. Organza wasn't on my original list so I took a trip to JoAnn's, hoping for fabric I swore to rarely ever use, but they had no royal blue organza. I used a royal taffeta for the bottom ruffle and also got some royal tulle that will do the trick for other parts of the skirt. To have more control over the ruffling, I gathered by machine stitch & hand, instead of my ruffle foot, and was reminded why I bought the ruffle foot 😆 cutting, serging, pressing, hemming, stitching, gathering, and applying the ruffle (and also hemming the skirt) took almost 4 hours. But hey, it looks great!
