I don't understand why she would willingly pierce her own face so many times... But it doesn't look like she's hurt by it so I suppose it's a cultural custom. Or maybe they're stuck, with the tissue attaching to metal... no, too unlikely. She is in too much of a rush to even imagine that. Come to think of it I never learned why she is in such a rush to learn. Power hungry? I hope not. That attracts quite a lot attention in the end, and being a womer in a land of Nords could end badly. But if she's in the College that is hardly a problem, those incompetent fools are not able to provide anything.

"Fine, fine, here" he took out a scroll and handed it to her. "That essay you needed on underground fungi, I think it's okay. And if you need any more, just tell me. But now, unless you want to help me with experiments on those, I'm afraid you will have no other option to stare because I'm going to ignore everything outside of those beauties. I mean what is that?" He raised up an ash yam. "I've never seen this before, this is extraordinary!"
