The last night.
One of our transferred-in managers is returning to her original store today.
Yesterday was her last time with us.
I’ve been shadowing her for the past few months she’s been at my store, learning what I can about being a service and training manager. She’s made me certain that this is the position I want to end up in with the company. In the office when I was counting drawers with her, I told her that she is the LOD and manager I want to become.
She then became very quiet, looked at me and said that was the nicest thing anyone has said to her about the job. And reassured me that anytime I need professional or personal advice to please let her know.
I’m terrible at goodbyes. But this is the first time I’m truly sad to see a manager go. I learned what I could from her while she was with us. Now it’s about putting that knowledge to use.

Customer: "I'd like to order a number 5 with a Sprite."
Me: "Okay Ma'am, we have a Double Quarter Pounder meal with a medium Sprite, anything el--"
Customer: "No, no, I want the number 5."
Me: "Oh Ma'am, the number 5 is the Double Quarter Pounder."
Customer: "No, it's the Fish Filet Meal."
Me: "The Fish Filet Meal is actually num--"
Manager: "--OKAY a number 5 Fish Filet meal coming right up, Ma'am! You have a great day!"
Me: >.>
Manager:
Psh, right my ass. If this would've been a regular drive-thru person who doesn't repeat orders, she would've gotten a double quarter pounder in her bag. DON'T SPREAD IGNORANCE D=
Dissertation
I think I've literally spent around 2-3 hours solely on sorting out page numbers for this piece of work! Absolutely nightmare using i,ii, iii, iv and so on... to pages 1-47 across 3 word documents! Shambles haha! If anyone would like to read it you're more than welcome to. It's on racism in football... probably not the best thing you'll ever read but it was a rush job unfortunately.
