(It’s obvious and it’s out of place and Shiro’s processed it - is moving to get up but Keith shakes his head - “No, I-...wanna sleep…” He can’t get into it right now. He just… “...just wanna sleep…” The car that passes through the alleyway below streams light through the half-open blinds. Over the doorway. Over the dips in the bed sheets. Over the puzzled frown on his brother’s face. “Okay.”) I don't mean to go straight for raw and weepy but this is my fave scene in Crowd Pleaser, hands down!
lol oh no.
okay well. alright where do i even begin. it’s fresh off the Bad Moment and the breakup and as much as keith might seem like kind of a loner when it comes to stuff with isaac, i just really felt like he’d go to his brother with this. he’s still shaken and needs something to ground him and shiro’s definitely his big bro rock in this story. so it only felt natural that he’d go to him.
and it also alludes to the fact a couple paragraphs after this i think that this isn’t the first time he’s kind of hidden away under his brother’s protection after something bad happens. like he used to do it when they were younger, so it’s commonplace.
also,, you know shiro is shiro and you know he’s been waiting for keith to break up with isaac for forever, but he doesn’t say anything right away. he doesn’t do anything or ask anything because he IS that big bro rock and he can tell that keith just needs to hide himself away like when they were younger. i guess, if im gonna be honest, it’s something that i wish i had when i had my own issues, instead of being by myself and sleeping alone and just being generally very alone at the time. it’s actually dawning on me as i write this right now that i’ve kinda molded this shiro into the person i needed. and i needed keith to have that person, i guess.
commentary asks - copy/paste 500 words or less of something i’ve written that you’re curious about and i’ll give the behind the scenes scoop
