I had been in central Asia earlier that year, and am still wearing the geansaí i had gotten in Ireland the month before, even though the temperature had to have been too hot for it. . . . On a sad note: when this picture was taken, there were several people still living who were native speakers of Mandan, one of the three native languages of the area.
