Mandarinaduck is from Ukraine, and for some reason share their name with a wallet/bag company.  This 7″ is being released by Bedroom Box Rebels (Manchester, UK) which specialize in 7″s stuffed with music.  While there are only 4 songs on this, the first song - a winner called “Final Scene” is 5 1/2 minutes.  Not a lot of room for a 6 or 7 song EP.

Their music is described in multiple places as shoegaze, but there is a definite affinity for pop structures as well.  I can’t help but be reminded of Mazarin, Stars on Fire, Teenage Fanclub or Shy Boys (they were my first introduction to BBR).
