No warnings except a bit of swearing

  I was flying home from a very long work week, more like a fucking work month. Retakes, bad weather, equipment delays and other mishaps had turned what should have been a quick shoot into a fucked up shitstorm.

 I missed you, my sweet girl, more than anything. I know missing someone is an emotional feeling, but I felt it everywhere. I physically hurt. I need you like I need food, water, air. You are what keeps me grounded, sane, alive.

 Valentine’s Day was coming up, and while I know you asked for, expected, nothing, I knew I had to do something. Sure, I could easily give you a box of fucking candies from my candy store. But Jesus, that was too simple, way to fucking easy. You deserve so much more. So while waiting thru yet another flight delay and idea popped into this old fuckers head.

 When I set foot back onto New York soil, I sighed. Not quite home, but close. I grabbed my luggage, making my way to the car and driver you had insisted I hire.

 “You are waaay too famous to be riding the train Jeff! Those crazy fans aren’t going to leave you alone. I know you hate all the celebrity trappings, but this is about your safety, so please?!”

 All you had to do was say please, and look at me with those beautiful eyes and I’d do fucking anything you asked. And you, my sweet little doll, knew it.

 As the car made its way up my driveway I spotted your truck making a big smile spread across my face. Almost home.

 After I thanked the driver I stepped inside. My pups running up to greet me.

 “So where’s momma?” I questioned them, knowing they would run right to you. But they stayed by the door.

“Hmmm, this is odd. Mandi outside pups?” You knew I was coming, and your truck was here?

 I stepped back outside, the pups joining me. They took off down towards the barns making me wonder if that was where you were. I made my way down the plowed path, making a quick stop as an idea hit me.

  I could see the dogs heading towards one of  the buildings. The door was closed so they began pacing back and forth, barking. As I got closer, I heard a sound, music to be exact. I bent down patting both dogs’ heads.

 “Good job kids.”

 Opening the barn doors I stepped inside to see a beautiful sight. You, my sweet Mandi,  was sitting on some hay bales right in the center of the donkeys stable, surrounded by them all, Paxton the closest. He was my boy, attaching to me right from the get go. But once you,  my sweetie,  came into the picture, it was all you. You became his second mama. Can’t say I wasn’t a bit jealous at first.  

 You had your guitar, playing one of your own compositions. Your angelic voice filling the air. It was like we were all entranced. No one moved, just taking in the beauty of the sounds. The dogs on either side of me, the donkeys stilling their movements. The only movement was your fingers on your guitar strings and Paxton nuzzling into your side.

 What a fucking sight.

I grabbed my phone, trying so hard not to make a sound, afraid of ending this breathtaking moment. I was able to start videoing it, knowing full well that you will try to make me delete it later on. But it will be my secret.

 I stepped back, unfortunately kicking over a box in the process.

 “Oh my god, Jeff! You scared the living daylights out of me!”  Your tiny hand grasping at your chest. “Just how long have you been standing there mister!”

 “You caught me sweetheart!  I laughed. “Long enough to enjoy your show. You are amazing doll. Truly amazing.”

 You stepped around your furry audience, patting each one as you passed them. Reaching me, I took you in my arms, all my senses taking you in.

 “Fuck, I missed you sweetheart. Too damn much.”

 “I missed you too Jeffrey, I hate it when you’re gone.”

 We stood like that for some time, just gently rocking back and forth, you tightly encased in my arms. I realized it was getting a bit chilly, so I led us out of the barn, heading back inside to the warmth of our home.

 “Oh shit, I dropped my keys, can you use your phone to help me find them baby?”

 “Jeff, I swear!” You giggled, turning your phone’s flashlight on. You began shining the light in the area I was trying to find my keys in.

 “I don’t see them, are you sure this is the spot?”

 “I’m positive. Shine the light out further.”

 As you did as I asked I heard your gasp, watching as you took in what I had done.

 “Jeffrey?”

 “Darling?”

 “Did you do this?”  You moved closer to me.

 “Are you going to answer me Mandi?” I smiled down at you, seeing your eyes begin to get moist.

 “Yes, yes, I’m answering you, YES!”  You threw yourself at me, your phone dropping into the snow. I pulled you up into my arms, very much enjoying the little kisses you peppered my face with.

 As we made our way back inside, the dogs dancing around my feet as I carried you, I realized something. I was finally home.

I love the fact that your husband helped you look for more porn gifs! I hope you will award him accordingly ;-)

I mean I told him to look at porn for like 2 hours. Isn’t that award enough? Plus he’s still alive and I’m about to start pmsing. Also an award I think. But if you meant like sexual favors, yeah no we don’t do that in my house. He’s a person not a puppy. Although we did discover that since he was a teen, he has been rewarding himself with a sandwich after every orgasm he’s ever had. So solo or with me, he finishes and then makes a sandwich, like a puppy who gets a treat after peeing in the yard instead of on the rug, lol. He is going to kill me when he gets home from work tonight, lol.

I'm new to the SPN Fandom family. Could you explain what the definition of a drabble is? Thanks in advance!

Firstly, welcome to Hell! No no, it’s not that bad.

People have different definitions of what they consider a drabble. Some people consider it anything under 1,000 words, others limit it to under 500. Basically, it’s anything you can post without a “keep reading” and not feel like a dick clogging people’s dashboards. My drabbles tend to fall between 300 and 800 words.
