Y’all I’m so ready for the dreamlight valley update on the 5th and I’m even more excited cause the 15th I’m getting
More tattoos?!?!?!?!?!?!!
I’m so excited me and my mom are getting my tattoo artist to come up with a mother and baby turtle design and I’m so excited to see what she comes up with. She’s also gonna do 2 more for me that day which I’m super excited about. I will definitely be posing pics
The tale of J’awk
I’ve got a D&D game going that I’m having a great time with so far. So I’m going to write it as we go. From the perspective of my character. He is J’awk. An arakocra. Sorcerer and reluctant Squire to our Paladin (Whose player and I should not be allowed to coordinate characters because shenanigans always happens... Though, one of our DMs told me that she loves it because it’s hilarious.)
I’m going to start with a prologue. Then I’ll get the sessions that we’ve done so far done. Hopefully, I’ll be able to post updates weekly(ish) as we play.
And so...
The Prologue
I have decided. For my own amusement and that of others, to try to actually make posts about one or possibly more of our ongoing RPGs.
For certain, our game called either "After the Fall" or "Oblivion's Gate" depending on the mood when we're talking/how dead we are.
Possibly the Goblin campaign... not sure.
So. I'm gonna tag them with Mandy Games If you want to follow them.
Y’all when I said part of your world is stuck in my head constantly this is why. Ariel is constantly humming this in Dreamlight Valley. I literally had to tweet this damn video from my switch to get it on my phone 😂 it was a pain in the ass.
The (Continuing) Tale of J’Awk
The nest session of my D&D game with the undead paladin and his soon to be long suffering squire.
(Here’s the prologue)
Part the First
In Which the Dragon’s Bite is Worse Than It’s Breath.
So far, being a squire only really involves helping make camp (It's much easier to make a fire when you can use magic to spark a flame) and hearing about Sir Hightower's many great exploits. I just don't have the heart to tell him that he is undead. And at this point, I know it's too late. I hope I can warn people off of telling him as we adventure. I'm not sure what he would do if he found out.
Oblivion’s Gate/After the Fall Introduction
Dramatis Personae
When we started making characters we knew a few things. Magic was gone, but would be returning over the course of the game, probably because of what we do. We Are using Pathfinder mechanics. We're playing Gestalted classes. We were warned that any magical character will be severely handicapped. We all knew one of the main characters our DM uses who came from this world and that she was the Fire elemented part of the God of this world. We were told to bring a dead character. Many of them knew the part of the God as Jade. Jade was usually manifested in other games as a fire genasi. A fighter most of the time.
Our characters were asked by Jade to help her restore her world after they died.
We were all reincarnated into this world. We were all at one time orphaned and came to the Light's Hope orphanage at the same day, if different years. So our party is a ‘family’ of orphans that are all about the same age. They all have dreams of their previous lives, usually the worst parts and their deaths.
The players are thus:
Oblivion’s Gate/After the Fall Introduction
In which we have a background of the world.
The world is a homebrew world. We enter after the fall of magic. The old world was divided into elemental kingdoms. Nobels of each Kingdom had elemental magics. Light, Dark, Earth, Air, Fire and Water. The Kingdoms worked together and their main cities exemplified them. The Water Capital was under a great dome at the bottom of the sea. The Earth Kingdom in a huge cavern housed in the stalagmites and stalactites. Fire was a giant volcano. Air was the floating islands. Light was a great city with a white obelisk. I'm not sure about Dark. We've been using Microscope to flesh out the past and finally got it to the point where our DM knew enough about the past.
Our game starts after the Kingdoms fell. Darkness went first, then Fire, Water, Air, Earth and Light. Some literally. The Floating Islands fell while all the best mages worked to move them from the path of an oncoming army. The Water Kingdom was attacked and the dome shattered. Magic left the lands. The world is a string of city-states. Life is hard. The land does not give anything easy. People don't travel far. Harvests have been getting progressively worse. Hope is not in many lives.
