✒ bee’s apartment is eclectic. she’s filled it, in the short time she’s had it, with all the best furniture and decoration that thrift stores and the sidewalk can provide. it’s cozy enough, and filled with plants installed and maintained (mostly! not entirely!) by blossom, to “keep her company.” they do their job. while the one-bedroom shoebox is an upgrade from her previous no-bedroom shoebox in general, bee loves two things in particular about it. one: her desk. it’s always littered with textbooks or medical journals, a coffee mug or three, her notes, and whatever project she’s currently head-deep in. something about that, having a space that’s entirely your own, it’s...nice. new. two: her windows. some have those beautiful, gauzy curtains that sway on the breeze. most don’t. all of them, however, can be found open, unless there is a torrential rain or threat of freezing weather. if you spend the night here: hope it’s during spring or summer.
what is your muse’s full name and do they have any nicknames? briar lim, aka bee, has a three letter name, and as we all know: short names are notoriously hard to nickname. bb (or was it beebee?) has been heard, and bug. submit yours now!
what do they look like? include hair, eyes, skin tone, tattoos, etc. ! bee’s has shoulder-blade length hair varies anywhere between strawberry blonde to candy pink, depending on where she is in her dye cycle, and honey-coloured eyes. she’s short — 5′4, impassably short, if you ask her — and generally small, though agreeing with that sentiment likely won’t end well. currently, she has only two tattoos: her amaranthine one, hiding in plain sight behind her left ear, and a large nettle tattoo on her right forearm.
do they have any distinguishing features such as scars, unique birthmarks, etc.? aside from the eyes which, let’s be honest, are quite distinguishing, bee could stand to vanish, if needed. she has scars, sure, some that could be from childhood tumbles, and some that resemble circular burn-marks, but who doesn’t?
what is your muse’s friends and family like? who do they usually surround themselves with? briar stopped associating with her “family” quite awhile ago, but that’s pretty standard for folks in this business. those two earth-and-water elemental fae roommates, however, would be the closest thing to family she has now; lord knows she spends enough time with the fae squad and in their apartment to make that true.
who would you consider the closest person to your muse? see above: choosing one over the other could result in tears or bodily harm.
where was your character born and what was their living situation growing up there? bee is born-and-bred korean! she grew up in the suburbs, of course, in a big, non-child-friendly home before migrating to the city proper, but the exact details of where she was born have been lost to time.
what is your muse’s biggest fear and does anyone know? if so, who, and if not, why not? only the witchdoctor. 🤫
has your muse ever fallen in love before? if so, with who? did it end well? bee hasn’t fallen in love before, no. there have been romantic relationships, after a while of struggle for platonic ones. they didn’t end well for...perhaps obvious reasons. after she began to master the concept of romantic relationships, now, she can begin to learn the concept of love, vis a vis falling in.
what would you find in your muse’s refrigerator right now? half-drank coffee -- because she always thinks she shouldn’t waste it if she doesn’t finish it, and it’s never good the day after. she’s not a great cook, so mostly staple, frozen things, and dairy-free milk for tea.
what does your muse usually wear? you can describe, link pictures, etc. ! bee loves loose-fitting things. for one, it masks her size. for two, they flow in the breeze that tends to follow her around, making her feel like stevie nicks. often blacks or neutral tones, but there are a couple pastel sweaters or blood-reds in her closet she can break out when the time’s right. her makeup is typically minimal as well, with a lack of lipstick, thanks to her constant lip-biting or sweet tooth.
what is your muse’s strongest memory that they carry around? likely not one specific moment, but a collection of small feelings. glass cutting into skin, or tar. maybe the taste of her first drink at amaranthine, the feeling of her bandaged tattoo pulsing behind her ear. first time petting a cat. y’know; that sort of thing.
“You will have to do without pocket handkerchiefs, and a great many other things, before we reach our journey’s end, Bilbo Baggins. You were born to the rolling hills and little rivers of the Shire, but home is now behind you. The world is ahead.” // @maneohq
Vic’s home is very cozy, earth, and homely. There are far too many plants, but would it truly be home to the strongest healing mage this side of he Atlantic if it didn’t? He surrounds himself with greenery and fauna mostly for the utility of them— salves, potions, and tonics rely heavily on such ingredients, after all. However, more than he’d care to admit are merely there because the mage likes plants.
Vic owns a single-family detached home in the expensive side of neutral territory. Descended from royalty, he’s got plenty of money to ensure his home is as safe as can possibly be. Despite having so much money, Victor does not spend it on making his home luxurious, but rather spends it on the simple comforts that makes a house a home. Warm, fuzzy blankets, extra soft pillows, and a couch you could sink into and take one of the best naps on.
The Yi’s home is one that stimulates the senses. When you first step in, your eyes are immediately greeted by lush greenery contrasting against the neutral, earthy, or grey tones. Take a deep breath and perhaps you’ll catch the fresh fragrance of flowers and fresh soil, or if you’re really lucky, the aroma of a delicious, sweet treat cooling on the kitchen counter. The joyous laugh of a precious little girl rings through the air as her little feet pitter-pat on the hardwood floors to greet you. There’s always room at the dinner table to sit down and taste the rich, savory flavors of a classic American-style dinner. In this home, you feel nothing but warmth, love, and comforts.
Vic’s home is a known neutral territory to both members of The Aegis, and Invictus. Members of both gangs are welcome in his home, and this is known to both sides. He and Yeona have family in both factions, and they simply couldn’t be without them. He has a guest bedroom set up with fresh linens at all times, just in case anyone decided to pop over for a prolonged visit.
Kitty above all else needs comfort. He lived on the streets for seven years, so finally having an apartment of his own means he has done everything to make his space cozy. He loves the bohemian vibe *coughs* if it wasn’t obvious. Outside of the various rugs, pillows, and plants, Kitty also has several nooks and crannies filled with pet toys for his fox form to laze around or play in. Currently he lives with @maneovesper after having adopted him off the streets. It’s better having someone around than living with the quietness.
unlike jiyong himself, the crow’s nest—as he affectionately calls his home—is bright and full of life, with plants found in every corner of the apartment. he doesn’t have a whole lot of space, but it’s enough for him and his four-legged companion, raven. he spends most of his time in the kitchen, as he loves to cook for himself ( and occasionally others ) in his spare time, and out on the balcony, which he has turned into a little garden—as far as possible, at least. although he sometimes misses the house he grew up in, especially the large garden, he very happily refers to this place as home.
in the busy district of jongno, near the palaces of the joseon era, there was a quaint street filled with vintage buildings and stores. ever since he could remember, yeonjun and his mother struggled with finances so he never experienced living in a spacious area. even after he joined venor, yeonjun opted to stay in his small studio apartment which was above an old bookstore and a tteokbokki shop. it was near his mother’s new fried chicken shop and the flower shop he works on regularly. on his days off, yeonjun tries to help the old couple who runs the bookstore and the tteokbokki shop, in return he gets unlimited tteokbokki, gimbap, odeng, and his favorite, hotteok.
Yunho lives in an industrial loft-style apartment. He can’t really afford much, as he refuses to accept payment from Veritas (bc that would be practicing without a license, which is a crime), but he personally thinks he lucked out with his place. It’s a little on the small side, but with those big open windows running up, even up to the ceiling, it just feels big and spacious. He’s always got a few windows open to let a breeze in, sheer curtains following the flow of air.
Oddly enough, his bathroom is one of the largest rooms in the house, which was another lucky feat. The tub is large enough for him to soak in and enjoy a nice bathbomb, of which he has plenty. He loves a good self care night, soaking in a hydrating bath filled with oils and butters and bubbles.
No matter where you go or turn, you will always end up home.
The di Soriano home is a simple one. It’s a modest two bedroom apartment with an office space in the heart on Invictus territory, featuring exposed brick nearly everywhere and large windows. The building is an old one and boasts an industrial style feel.
Around the home, there’s the small little touches from Leona that have truly made it feel like their home, rather than just a place to be. From the furniture to the small knick-knacks on the shelves, every minor detail makes their cozy little apartment a home.
Vince’s personal spaces are generally fairly... minimalist would be the nice way to phrase it. The man is so accustomed to barely scrounging by that he himself never really splurged on anything too nice or too fancy that could easily be replaced with something cheaper. For the longest time he merely slept on a mattress on the floor in his room because why pay for a bedframe when the floor holds it just fine? Once he was cleared to return home, though, he had to buy one- his leg just couldn’t support him trying to get out of bed from the floor to a standing position without Leona’s help everyday.
His study is fairly stereotypical of a mafia boss, honestly, and the majority of it is furniture he inherited from his late parents. Dark, warm woods, a desk in the middle of the room facing the door— the whole nine yards, honestly. Any Lupos-related work that needs to be done outside of HQ he does from that office. In the very back he has a table, dried herbs strung above it, where he crafts his suppression tonic. He doesn’t use it very often, but he likes having the ingredients at the ready, just in case a dose or two is ever needed.
