Okay, so everyone who heard that I was reading horror manga in prep for WorldCON said, “You’ve GOT to read Junji Itou!” So I went looking… and stumbled across this ADORABLE…

A “cat diary” by renown horror mangaka Junji Ito.  It’s like if Chi’s New Home were written by a horror mangaka...it’s ADORABLE and only scary in that silly way that cats can make our hearts pound. Also, complete at one volume!

A pretty decent manga, though not terribly horrific, IMHO.  Would recommend to fans of Psycho Pass and Zankyou no Terror, since it’s kind of more “police drama/horror.” However, it’s short and complete at 29 chapters.

If people have recommendations of anime or manga they’d consider “horror,” please let me know!  I’m looking for stuff I might be able to consume and discuss in a couple of weeks at a convention.
