An original reprint of a discontinued #ManIntoWoman the book that inspired #TheDanishGirl. My sister gave it to me two years ago for #Christmas. Its taking me a while to read it due to the antiquated and often unintentional #Transphobic language. The language used back then was less inclusive and a lot more "ignorant" than language is now and being the activist that I am it's hard to read language such as this without becoming infuriated at the writer but I'm trying my best because as a trans woman I think it's so very important for me to know my own genders history. I say this because without knowing where we were or we've come from we can't possibly understand and respect where we are. I would like to thank each and every #TransWoman who came before me to allow me to live the life of privilege that I am living today. I don't have to live in the shadows #stealth unless I choose to.
