in the interest of debunking this “maddie is the good kid and buck is the wild child”, i’m just gonna say like. nah. maddie was under such a rigid schedule as a kid (raising herself and then buck at the same time, as well as feeling a huge pressure to succeed in school), that as soon as she was able to, she went Off The Fucking Rails. there’s not much that she didn’t try when she moved out. and for the first few years she was in college, she’d mastered the art of being fucking Exhausted/not feeling well/running on Zero Fumes that she was absolutely the kind of person who could party until six in the morning, go home, chug coffee, turn around and be in class by eight am.

and then (gagS) she met doug, and doug was (at first) Perfect, because he was kinda wealthy and handsome, and best of all –– her parents Hated him. and maddie was so Hell Bent on equating pissing the buckley parents off with freedom with...her own fucked up conception of love, that she absolutely ignored every single warning sign that she got from doug before they got married. the Only Reason maddie kinda gave up on the party/wild child scene was because doug was wildly jealous and manipulative, and he convinced her that like. him not wanting her to go out without him was a Sign of Respect and Love.

ooc; It's a key personality trait for Wrath to have 0 empathy AND sympathy in him. He's easily and willingly swayed from people's anguish when he has a source of enjoyment for himself, it doesn't matter who the person is or how close they are.

If it's not directly harming or doesn't interest him at the time, he won't pay attention to it. Period. He might try/want to do somethig about the damage later, but if pressed further into feeling guilty, he will switch into being a HUGE dickhead so fast you'll barely associate his previous attitude with his current one, he WILL give backlash. He has no remorses, even if he’s guilt of doing x thing, he won’t feel a single bit of regret.

He is not hesitant to show people he does things the way he wants regardless of the consequences. He’s very confident in how he’ll handle them.
