Am not really one for confessional posts. Load of old shit most of it. “Hey guys etc” Here’s one anyway. But Inpromise not to talk about my journey. Ugh. I love my work. I love making images. I love the process of putting shoots together, however mind blowingly frustrating that may be at times. I love being on set with a team and creating a story. I dream of creating an iconic image, that one image that ends up in someone’s book or maybe even moodboard. It’s what drives me to be better and try to do better work every time I step on set. The last few weeks have been challenging for me personally. Illness and the ongoing need to recover have forced me to take a step back from work, which I have genuinely struggled with. Both with the very difficult to handle symptoms of the illness itself (I’m on the slow mend so don’t go shopping for black suits yet) and my desire to get back to doing what I love to do. It has taught me that I have to be patient, an enforced humility that for once, I cannot override what my body is telling me and that I am, right now, subservient to it. It is a difficult lesson to learn. More difficult to put into practice. I loved this shoot. I wasn’t feeling well but the joy of being on set helped me ignore the symptoms I was feeling on the day and push through. I paid for that later. I love shooting with @tifhunter and @robknighton1 @nextmodelslondon is one of my favourite models to shoot with. He is charisma personified; every shot is brimming with character. Such a gent.
