u cant say that im invalidating others when i lit made a post, people rudely disagreed with me on it n i replied back, & suddenly im invalidating them? also ur the one who wrote up this long ass post @me when its been hours since my post was made & i already got off tumblr more than once for my own mental health. namjoon hasnt been institutionalized. its not his place to use the imagery of institutionalization unless he has been. it perpetuates stereotypes that harm mentally ill ppl. its ableist
So, your logic is...because you made an initial post, that absolves you of anything? The fact that people disagreed with you “rudely” or otherwise means you have the right to declare their opinions invalid & declared mentally ill people “ableist”, not because they are oppressing anyone mentally ill or erasing anyone mentally ill...but because they disagreed with you.

All that extra is nice dear, If you got off tumblr for your mental health, that’s good. I’m glad you know when to stop. However, me @ing you in a civil discussion has nothing to do with that. I don’t actually follow you. Other people do share your opinion & I’ve seen it several times but it was through discussion that I found you, specifically, attacking others while continuing to mislabel them.
The reason I directly addressed you is so that you would see this behaviour is harmful. Not only to the individuals being attacked/witnessing your behaviour...but to the entirety of the discussion that needs to happen. & honestly, it is out of respect. Because I don’t want to just talk about what you’re doing behind your back. I wanted to give you the chance to actually know what was being said.
You are being toxic, poisonous down to the roots.
You are damaging to the very cause you’re hoping to push. You cannot carry the herald of “I am mentally ill, so someone disagreeing with me is invalidating me & ableist”...while doing the Exact. Same. Thing. To. Others.
I am mentally ill, I was triggered to an extent by the mv. But I know it is not ableism but an expression of his mental state while he wrote those lyrics. Not everything is literal & what he does is an artistic platform. This is how he did it. He didn’t make a joke of it, he did not make light of it. This was a visualization.
I am also aware enough to catch when someone is attempting to use victimization as a means of a silencing tactic. If you think using it on me will work, you will only continue to expose yourself.
