Quite the adventure getting this 1995 #manitoumtb Comp torn down. The dust seals had disintegrated and had to be picked out with an awl piece by piece until I could access the retaining clip holding on the lowers. But the real WTF moment was when I pulled the screws out of the bottom of the stanchions and *WATER* squirted out like a freakin’ squirt gun. It was clear, clean and had no smell. Quite a bit came out, too. So weird! With the lowers off I was treated to a wide variety of fouled grease, especially inside the stanchions. Got it all cleaned and ready to grease and reassemble as soon as I get some answers about the elastomers (I have a call in to SuspensionForkParts.net.)
