But speaking of jam, here's the various ones I made so far...
Right hand ones I made first actually. Mango, with orange for pectin, and pear/blueberry with lemon for pectin. I ended up giving one jar of mango to my neighbors and using the other on some teriyaki pork sliders. One of the pear blueberries is going to my godparents, as well as the apple/pear in the left hand picture because my godmom said that sounded nice.
Left-hand also has strawberry/raspberry (the remnants of this batch that I couldn't can ended up kind of watery, but still tasty) and strawberry/mango which I haven't tried at all yet, since there ended up being just enough to can two jars.
I make the jams on the stove pretty simple, fruit + sugar + some lemon juice or orange juice for pectin. Then I steam-can them in my instant pot, which is also able to sanitize them for me. I use 4 ounce jars because thats about as much as my roommate and I can use at a time before it spoils, once the jar's been opened!
