Mannadium Prime-Heart
This is Visas Starfrost
If you're playing modern Yu-Gi-Oh, youve heard of him. There's a bunch of support that connects him to recent competetive decks. He's going through space to find his Alter Egos to...idk start a boy band or whatever.
Point being, the support that ties them together calls out monsters with 1500 ATK and 2100 DEF specifically, or Visas himself. I figured we'd have another Trains situation, where all level 4 and 10 Eath Machines are mechanically "Trains". But no. You know how wide that search net is?
2 cards. A friggin steam shovel and a...idk what Zenmaines is. That's it.
Yu-Gi-Oh is a weird game.
Okay, so remember when I said there was a cool thing with Mannadium? In lore, Riumheart resides in the “Peaceful Planet Calarium”, where he guards a tree with orbs. Each orb could be depicted as Visas' memories of the Scareclaw, Tearlaments and Kastira. And, according to the Valuable Book 3 EX, it is possible that the planet represents Visas' mind!
To explain further my point, I have to explain some details. See, a lot of psychoanalysts separate the human mind into three parts: the id (conscience), the ego (pre-conscience) and the super-ego (the sub-conscience). And, if I remember right, there was a psychoanalyst who described the super-ego as “the guardian of the sub-conscience”.
“Thunder, what does this have to do with Mannadium?” If Calarium does represent Visas' mind, and the orbs represent Visas' memories, then that makes Riumheart Visas' super-ego! You could take it a step further with Vicious Astraloud, who opposes Riumheart in the lore. Astraloud opposes Riumheart in the lore, thus making Astraloud Visas' id! (Because the id and the super-ego oppose each other in Psychoanalysis, IIRC).
So, that's a very cool detail that I found in the Yugipedia article that I want to share, because man, I wasn't expecting PSYCHOLOGY in m children's card game.
