This article talks about the history of drag in makeup. I think that most of the makeup “trends” and styles have been developed and shaped after the drag community. They are not afraid to be bold and use color, which can make makeup so fun and unique. It also talks about the stigmas around men in the beauty/makeup industry. Gutierrez states that when he worked at Sephora and would go on his lunch breaks that people would look at him very strangely. While he worked there a couple years ago, I think that this still holds true today and many people would still find it very odd, which they should not. Everyone should be able to express themselves however they want to.
