His and His Sunday
Why I Painted This Picture Rococo, Rococo, Rococo. I just like saying the name. You can’t address decorative pattern in art history without encountering the beautiful and absurd 18th-century Rococo period. I’m getting flowers from the period’s wallpaper that includes butterflies and exotic birds. It’s a pink, yellow and blue opera: over-the-top actors with flamboyant gestures made with arabesque brushstrokes. It’s that pivotal moment when you realize love has tumbled into your day, shattering the normal and when falling feels like flying. “Falling In Love Again” 30x24” acrylic on canvas 2020 See this in-person today from 10-2:pm at Gallery Blue Door as part of my solo show “Of Flowers & Flesh” thru June 26th https://www.gallerybluedoor.com #pridemonth #pride #painting #artforsale #malenude #acrylicpainting #lgbtq #lgbtart #rococo #homoerotic #queerart #instagay #manonman #artcollector #gallery https://www.instagram.com/p/CQI5TFQFHty/?utm_medium=tumblr
