                                             —   “  An endless journey that even closed eyes wouldn’t slow down. His universe was a spinning one, landscapes flying under his obscure orbs, quintessential new suns and moons welcoming his borning thoughts. See, listen, savour, scent and touch - all his steps were guiding him to worlds only him could reach and explore, honor and devour. Words weren’t enough, trivial tools lacking the light his senses managed to connect with. The ink is flowing down, filling the blank pages before his eyes but widening the void created by this desire to always go furthur, higher.

He arched his brow then, the corner of his lip lifted slightly. He traced back his memory figuring when did they purpose the dual. A simple race around the block had turn into a maze-like route with a couple of pit stops around the way. His breathing labored while he steadied himself. He knew his limits when it came to sports but when provoked the competitiveness in him could not resist. “Long legs?” he joked lightly, a little laugh escaped “hah.. It’s practice”. This time he answered sincerely. Stretching his arms Hiroki felt this morning had been a success. Less time for exercise later.

Hands on her knees as she took deep breaths in, Miyuki eventually straightened her back with a sigh, one hand moving up to wipe away the tears on her brows. “No, I think you cheated.” Finding it hard to accept her defeat as usual, her nose crinkled at the thought of it, lips arched into a frown for a quick second before turning it into a smile. It was still much too early for her to be upset and win or lose, at least she had her does of exercise. Though she highly doubt she would be up as early tomorrow to run again. “I guess breakfast is on me, then. Pancakes?”

4 and 27

4: Would your OC want to involve themselves in humanitarian work ? If yes, then for what? If not, then why not?

Mari would like to get involved with humanitarian work. More specifically, she’d like to work with abuse survivors. However, doing that would require her to be honest about her own experiences, and that’s not something she’s ready to do. Being around other victims and hearing their stories could be quite triggering/overwhelming for her. So she’d rather not participate in something like that just yet. Not until she’s dealt with her own trauma.

27: Does your OC practise any kind of escapism? If yes, what kind?

Films are definitely her form of escapism. They’ve always served as a good distraction from everyday life, and they have since her youth.

16. Breaking my muse’s laptop

Numb. Numb was the best, if not only, word that could well describe how the corporate worker felt as she sat still. Hands frozen mid-air from typing the words she was about to type, and her eyes locked at the black screen of her laptop. It had been Mr. Nakajima’s idea to go to a cafe and finish her work there. The ambiance might help you relax and think more, he said, but between the wonderful scent of coffee beans and bossa nova tunes from the tiny speakers, Miyuki wished she had ignored his words as she stared at her coffee-soaked laptop. The report that she was so close from finishing gone. Vanished. Along with everything her laptop head.

“Huh. No. It’s okay.” An almost all too automated answer, eyes still round and shock from surprise and her lips left in a tiny shape of “o”. And finally, it hit her. The event finally registering into her mind and all she could do was chuckle. It was gone. The report due today was gone. You have got to be kidding me. Right hand frantically reaching out for the tissues on her table, she hurriedly dabbed them against her laptop, hoping to get rid of the coffee—-or at least those that had yet to seep through the tiny spaces in her keyboard, knowing there was little to none she could do to save her laptop. “Oh no. No, no, no, no, no.” She chanted as she pressed the power button in vain. And it was only then that her face finally fell to show utter despair. “This will cost me my whole career.”
